Frozen RTE (Ready to Eat) fruit and vegetables are a very safe product used by both the food service industry and the food industry to enhance milks, ice-creams, baby-food, juices, nectars etc. The production involves the selected raw material being cut, pasteurised and immediately frozen in an I.Q.F. (Individual Quick Frozen) system. This means that the final product has a low microbiological count and is free from pathogens whilst still maintaining the colour, flavour and natural texture of the raw material.
