Obtained by cold pressing of the Corylus avellana fruit , Hazelnut oil keeps intact all the nutritional characteristics of the product from which it derives.
The Hazelnut is a fruit of excellence in our areas: the Lower Piedmont is well known for producing the best hazelnuts in the world, the Piedmont Hazelnut is IGP.
Benefits:
Hazelnuts are particularly rich in vitamin E (alpha-tocopherol), phytosterols and flavonoids, which, thanks to their antioxidant action, contribute to the protection of cells from oxidative stress, so slowing the aging of tissues.
Hazelnut oil is made up of more than 80% oleic acid, a monounsaturated fatty acid that helps keep bad cholesterol at low levels in the blood and increase the good one, protecting cell membranes.
How to use it in the kitchen:
Hazelnut oil, which has a very delicate taste, allows you to give a touch of originality to simple and refined dishes. It can be used in the preparation of sauces and main dishes (pasta, meat, bread and dairy products), or to dress salads.
The high quantity of oleic acid guarantees its stability even at high temperatures; in particular it is recommended for bakery products such as cakes and cookies.
