IQF (Individually Quick Frozen) strawberry (Fragaria Ananassa)
Our cultivated strawberries are grown during the long summer sunlight at our company-owned large-scale EU standard-controlled farm. It is the biggest farm in Finland for strawberries. We have several strawberry varieties, deep red colors, and extra sweet varieties made famous in Finland for their high-end quality for both fresh and frozen markets.
Finland's soil contains less harmful bacteria or fungi due to the long and hard frosted and snowy covered winter. Air is highly clean and unpolluted. These berries carry a good amount of polyphenols vitamins C, and E, and essential minerals.
After hand picked, the berries will be IQF (individually quickly frozen) as soon as possible (below -18C). After frozen, the berries are cleaned opto-electronically with a metal detector and color sorting to remove all the leaves, fragments, and possible unshaped berries. Such cleaned berries are again frozen as IQF-free rolling.
These free-rolling berries are packed electronically weighed and hygienically into desired sizes of the food-grade PE packs. Those packs are placed into corrugated boxes and stored on the pallet for storage and transport under -18C. Therefore consumers get very less processed healthy berries for consumption.
The most popular package sizes for consumer packs are 200g, 500g, 1000g, and 2500g. It's also possible to customize package sizes for your company's needs.
The berries are possible to pack in a four-color printed PE bag or transparent bag where you can add the stickers with printed details such as QR- and/or EAN-code.
We also packed by hand, freshly harvested berries into consumer retail packs for the fresh market (only during the summer season).
Another product is frozen strawberry purée for industrial purposes packed in 220kg barrels (frozen -18°C) or pasteurized bags in box packs. These purees are especially good for the smoothie industry. As well we do some berry smoothies at our factory.
In addition to the frozen berries services, we do strawberry cold pressed for manufacturing NFC juices ready-to-drink juice drinks. Such drinks we packed into screw cap glass bottles, size ranges 500ml, 350ml, 250ml, or 3-liter bags in boxes. Juice is possible to ambient store.
