“MACINA” TOMATO SAUCE (Sugo della macina)

"Sugo della Macina" takes idea from one of the many recipes of the Ligurian country cook-house. It is an original and typical tomato sauce, one of the symbols of the Mediterranean cuisine and taste. It is prepared with tomato sauce, extra virgin olive oil, cashews, fresh basil, taggiasca olive paste and salt. The smell is appetizing and the flavour is delicious thanks to an excellent mix between the delicate taste of the tomato and the intense and aromatic flavours of the basil and the taggiasca olive paste. It is a tasty seasoning for pasta or vegetables; may also be used to enrich soups or spread directly onto bread to prepare appetizing and coloured starters and canapés.
