Mashed Tomatoes from Fresh Tomatoes

This is the most famous product from the preserved tomatoes range made according to the Italian tradition. It is named also ‘ sieved tomatoes’ or ‘mashed tomatoes’ or ‘tomato puree’ but it is a unique product from Italy and imitated in the whole world. The ‘original passata’ is made only from fresh tomatoes not from the tomato paste and strictly from the Italian tomatoes of South of Italy. Passata can be used in soups, stews, sauces, or any other dish where the tomato flavor is desired.
