The glowing yellow fields are a familiar and glo­rious sight in spring­time. Rapeseed is expe­ri­encing some­thing of a renais­sance, both as a sus­tain­able energy source and a culi­nary oil. Rape-seed oil has a well-bal­anced com­bi­na­tion of fatty acids.

The organic growing of rape­seed oil requires a large amount of com­mit­ment and agri­cul­tural skill. Insects are a con­stant problem for the organic farmer but it is pos­sible to con­trol them without resorting to chem­i­cals. Rapeseed is at the begin­ning of crop rota­tion in organic farming.

Around 20 seeds grow in one pod and after har­vesting the rape-seeds are care­fully removed from the pods and imme­di­ately dried before being cold pressed once. Our rape-seed oil is deep yellow with a deli­cious flavour and a good bal­ance of fatty acids.
