Spira Filo Spinach & Cheese Pie (Spanakopita Spira)
Spira Filo Spinach and Cheese Pie, named Spanakopita Spira, gives delight a new twist. Traditionally in Northern Greece, Filo pastry is shaped as a coiled tube, wrapping a delicious combination of fine-chopped spinach leaves, onion, leek and dill mixed with a delicious combination of Greek Cheeses.
HISTORY:
° In several parts of Greece a different recipe for pies calls for the filling to be inserted in a tube created by Fillo pastry. Then this tube is coiled around, put in a tray and baked.
° We call them Spira Pies.
Each package contains 1 pie of 400g.
DEFROSTING INSTRUCTIONS: Thawing is not necessary before baking. Bake immediately if not kept frozen. This product is not microwaveable.
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS: Bake the pie in its own tray in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30-35 minutes for fan heating.
SHELF LIFE: 18 months from production date.
