Veggiefries, the Smart alternative ..... What are they? VeggieFries look like normal fries, however they are not made of potatoes, but of pureed vegetables (carrots, corn and white beans), free-range egg proteins and flavoured by various herbs and spices. His parents really tried to make him eat vegetables, but he simply would not. This resulted in a lot of stress at the dining table. Marc van Hulst then started to develop fries made of vegetables, so that his son would eat vegetables without realising; that removed the stress at the dining table and Jaro suddenly also ate the ordinary vegetables because there was no longer any pressure to do so. Why the Smart alternative? Many of our modern lifestyle diseases (including obesity and type 2 diabetes ) are attributed to eating too much fast carbohydrates. These are present in products such as white potatoes, fries, pasta and white rice.
