Konzum BH (Konzum d.o.o. Sarajevo) is one of the largest food retail chains in Bosnia and Herzegovina, headquartered in Sarajevo. The company entered the Bosnian market in 2004 with the opening of its first Velpro wholesale (cash & carry) centre in Sarajevo and launched its retail operations the following year, in 2005. Since 1 April 2019 it has been part of the Fortenova Group, the successor to the Agrokor group.
Konzum BH operates an extensive nationwide network of more than 170 retail outlets spread across the most attractive locations throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, welcoming over 100,000 shoppers every day. Its stores span several formats, from smaller neighbourhood shops and supermarkets to larger maxi-market outlets, complemented by its Velpro wholesale centres serving business and HoReCa customers.
The retailer offers a broad assortment across all core grocery categories, including sweet and savoury grocery, fresh and chilled products, frozen foods, dairy, beverages, household goods and personal care, alongside a strong fresh-produce, bakery, meat and delicatessen offering.
As part of the Fortenova/Konzum group, Konzum BH carries the group's well-established private-label lines, giving budget-conscious shoppers quality own-brand alternatives across food and household categories, while also stocking leading international and regional FMCG brands.
Konzum BH generated total revenue of around 730 million BAM (roughly €370 million) and employs approximately 3,000 people in Bosnia and Herzegovina, making it one of the country's most significant private employers. With its dense store network, multiple retail formats, wholesale reach and backing from the Fortenova Group, Konzum BH is an attractive partner for food, beverage and household manufacturers looking to enter or expand in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
