L’Oreal Belgium was founded in 1927 in Belgium and was the first subsidiary of the French beauty company, L’Oreal. It is headquartered in Brussels. L’Oreal Belgium and L’Oreal Libramont, a manufacturing facility owned by the group, are part of L’Oreal Belgilux.

L’Oreal Belgium manages a factory in Libramont where hair dye and hair care products are manufactured for the whole of Europe. The manufacturing unit is a ‘dry’ factory which means that it reuses its waste water.
In addition, L’Oreal Belgium introduced biomethane to its facility in 2009, making it the first carbon neutral plant of the group.
