- Yue Sai - L’Oreal China acquired Yue Sai in 2004. The company offers a range of products influenced by traditional medicine in Asia.
Additionally, the company has launched special lines for the Asian market which include a line of sun protection creams.
L’Oreal China has set up 3 production plants in the country and the products manufactured are distributed in China as well as Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia.
In addition, L’Oreal China established the L'Oréal Group's R&D and Innovation Center in 2005 in Shanghai. This research facility focuses on creating and developing formulas appropriate for Chinese skin and hair.
L’Oreal China has also been working on ways to stop animal testing in China. The company opened Episkin in 2014. Episkin produces reconstructed skins which can be used to test products instead of using animals.
