Mid Europa Partners is a private equity investor in the Central and South-Eastern Europe. Founded in 1999, the company is headquartered in London, United Kingdom. The firm operates office branches in Budapest, Istanbul, London and Warsaw. Mid Europa also launched a fund administration company in Guernsey.
The company has acquired well known companies such as:
- Hortex - Founded in 1958, the company is a producer of frozen foods and fruit juices in Poland.
- Profi Romania - In the year 2016, the firm took over Profi which is a food retail operator with 1000 stores across Romania.
- Zabka - Established in 1998, the firm operates 5220 Zabka stores. Mid Europa acquired Zabka in the year 2011 and later on in February 2017, sold it to CVC Capital partners.
- JS Hamilton - Mid Europa took over the testing, inspection and certification company which has 13 laboratories in Poland and the central and Eastern Europe recently in the year 2018.
- Urgent Cargus - A courier, express and parcel service provider based in Romania which offers delivery services to over 85,000 customers.
- Allegro - It is the largest online marketplace and non-food shopping website in Poland.
Mid Europa invests in companies with enterprise values of €100 - 500 million, which require equity investments of €75- 200 million.
