Established in 1925, Migros is a retail chain headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland. It is one of the largest retailers across the country. 

The company ended 2021 with a total of 658 supermarkets.

In 2021, its turnover amounted to €32.10 billion. It has a team of 97,727 employees.

Moreover, the company’s online sales have grown by 67% in the last five years and in 2022, it generated sales of €3.9 billion.

 It offers a variety of products in different categories: 

• Sweet Grocery: chocolate, cereals, chewing gums, etc.   
• Savory Grocery: olive oil, soup, pasta, etc.
• Chilled and fresh: meat, sausage, salad, etc.
• Frozen: vegetables, pizza, ready-made meals, etc.
• Drinks: water, fizzy drinks, juice, etc.
• Dairy: cheese, butter, milk, etc. 
• Personal care: shampoo, shower gel, deodorants, etc.
• Household: kitchen towels, cleaning products, gardening products, etc.

Migros has also developed its own brands:

• Migros Bio: a range of organic products such as yogurt, milk, butter, etc.
• M-Budget: a brand of food and non-food items at affordable prices such as bacon rolls, toilet paper, cream cheese, etc.
• Migros Selection: a brand of premium food items such as macarons, meat, granola, etc. 

Concerning its logistics, more than 400 rail wagons transport goods for Migros every day. It also focuses on climate-friendly lorries and hydrogen-powered vehicles.
