Rubella Beauty AD is the biggest Bulgarian manufacturer of cosmetics. The company has already more than 40-years-long experience and traditions in the production and trade with hygienic and cosmetic products. We are currently manufacturing more than 1500 references of different types of cosmetic products under :

§ under PL brands – we deliver PL to all Western Europe retailers products from all categories in Personal Care

Rubella Beauty offers a rich portfolio comprising different types of cosmetic products under the following categories :

• Packaging production

In our factory wе have the possibility to produce our own PBL and ABL foil, which we print – up to 6 colors, make tubes and finally fill them with the product. Making our own foil is because we possess a Laminator machine with a huge capacity of foil production – 12 mln m3, that is approximately 600-700 mln tubes. Laminator is a part of a Packaging production, totally independent, from the cosmetic one, which makes our own bottles, caps, leaflets, sachets, combs, etc.  

Quality Standards

As a responsible and modern cosmetic company, Rubella Beauty AD strictly follows the requirements of European Cosmetics Regulations. Our production is managed by integrated management system (IMS) in which are implemented the requirements of several global standards practices:

• Quality Management Standard ISO 9001 – 2015. First implementation by Lloyds Register in 2001.
• Environmental Management Standard - ISO 14001. First implementation by Lloyds Register in 2004.
• Occupational Health & Safety Management Standard - OHSAS 18001. First implementation by Lloyds Register in 2004.
• BRC Standard since 2013.
• GMP Standard in cosmetics - ISO 22716:2007 since 2008.
• SA 8000 (social accountability) Standard. First implementation by 4 Pillar SMETA Audit in 2014. 
• ECOCERT certified production to produce natural and organic cosmetic products (Cosmos Organic and Cosmos Natural).
• Kosher Certificate
• Halal Certificate
• Rubella Beauty AD is also on the PETA list of cruelty free companies

Our newest developments:

• Primary and secondary packaging (OTC and prescription medicinal products) of solid dosage forms 
• QC testing and QP release for EU market
• Manufacturing of tooth paste and mouth wash for the US Market (as OTC drugs)

Pharma site will have manufacturing license and GMP certificate for medicinal products from Bulgarian Drug Agency which has Mutual Recognition Agreement with US FDA since April 2019. The facility and QMS will cover all requirements of US cGMP for Finished Pharmaceuticals (21 CFR Part 211) and EU GMP (EudraLex Vol. 4, Part I). Planned start of operation is second quarter of 2024.
