Epirotic Bottling Industry was founded in 1990 as a Greek family-owned enterprise. It holds a leading position and operates in the sectors of bottling and producing natural mineral water and soft drinks, as well as caps and preforms. The company utilizes 7 water springs and owns 260 acres of land, 4 state-of-the-art vertically integrated factories, and 33 fully automated production lines with a capacity of 537,700 bottles per hour. Two factories bottle water and refreshments in the strictly protected district of Zagorochoria, in Epirus, Greece. The third factory, PETCOM Plastics, is located in the Industrial Area of Ioannina and manufactures PET preforms and closures for the packaging of water, refreshments and milk, whereas the fourth factory, is located in Kalianoi, Corinth and bottles water

Epirotic Bottling Industry  has established itself in the bottling sector with its flagship product, "Vikos" natural mineral water. Everything begins in the protected NATURA area, the beautiful core where the impressive Vikos Gorge is located. All products are manufactured according to the strictest European Union standards and are distinguished for their high quality. The company has been certified by Lloyd's Register for the development and implementation of its Quality Assurance Management Systems. The ongoing implementation and renewal of these systems is achieved and ensured by the company’s effective laboratories and scientists.

In 2014, the company expanded its portfolio to include soft drinks by introducing "Vikos" soft drinks, made with natural mineral water and juices from Greek fruits. Since then, this category has continuously grown, starting with the introduction of soft drinks with a low glycemic index and sweetened with stevia in 2017. This was followed by the launch of Vikos Cola Zero Suga and Vikos Pink Grapefruit two high-quality products introduced to the public in 2021 and 2022, respectively. 

Epirotic Bottling Industry 's portfolio also includes "Yas" natural mineral water, "Mitsikeli" natural mineral water, and the recent addition in 2023, μ. Artisan Mineral Water. 

In 2024, the company launches Vikos Cool Tea on the market in new, practical aluminum packaging in the same favorite flavors: Lemon, Peach and Green Tea with Lemon and Zero Sugar

The central axis of the company's philosophy is its commitment to producing high-quality products by implementing excellent quality control systems throughout its production chain. 

The reintegration of waste into the value chain through recycling is a strategic goal for us. Beyond resource conservation, the company contributes to reducing waste and, consequently, addressing pollution and protecting the environment. Specifically, this is a comprehensive approach based on the three pillars of sustainable development: economic, environmental, and social. By implementing this approach, the company achieves a reduction in waste volume, as well as a decrease in the challenges associated with waste management, energy conservation, and the preservation of natural resources. Additionally, it helps reduce air, soil, and groundwater pollution, and lowers greenhouse gas emissions. Epirotic Bottling Industry S.A. ensures the recycling of a wide range of materials, such as paper (cardboard, labels, madre), plastic (PET bottles, preforms, caps, film), obsolete metal equipment, glass, used oils, vehicle tires, batteries, UV and fluorescent lamps, waste from electrical/electronic equipment, inks/toners, and wood waste. This is made possible through the placement of recycling bins, each equipped with separate sorting containers for each recyclable material, located in all workspaces as well as at strategic external points of the facilities (offices, truck loading ramps). At the same time, special emphasis is placed on cultivating and strengthening the environmental and ecological awareness of the staff, with the goal of mobilizing and actively involving all departments of the company in recycling. More specifically, continuous training and education on recycling issues and applied waste management practices are promoted through both theoretical and practical seminars. Additionally, employees are encouraged not only to recycle in the workplace but also to collect recyclable materials from their homes and bring them to the facilities, where they are collected and sent for recycling by the company. Epirotic Bottling Industry S.A. maintains contracts with reliable and certified organizations, such as the Hellenic Recovery Recycling Corporation (HERRCO). Beyond our company's contribution to achieving the goals of the HERRCO, Epirotic Bottling Industry S.A. has supported the development of initiatives, such as special communication programs aimed at raising awareness and mobilizing citizens to participate in packaging recycling. Furthermore, the company ensures that external partners are informed about its environmental policy, both during their visits to the facilities and when offering their services. As part of our ongoing efforts to reduce environmental impact, Epirotic Bottling Industry S.A has developed new product categories and introduced sustainable packaging solutions. This includes the use of aluminum cans, which are 100% recyclable, ensuring that our packaging materials contribute to a circular economy and reduce waste. Additionally, Epirotic Bottling Industry S.A is exploring a range of new circular economy solutions to incorporate recycled plastic into its product packaging in the coming years, as well as to find other alternatives that are more environmentally friendly.
