The SPAR Group is a multi-brand Swiss retail company with headquarters in Saint Gallen. SPAR Switzerland was founded in 1989.

It comprises 40 corporate and 126 independent retailer stores.

In 2021, SPAR Switzerland reached a total turnover of  €613.3 million.

It offers products between the range of 7,000 and 12,000. 

It offers a variety of products under different categories such as:   

• Sweet grocery: candy, chocolate, biscuits, etc.
• Savory grocery: pasta, bread, rice, etc.       
• Fresh and chilled: fruits, salmon, vegetables, etc.
• Frozen: smoked sausage, beef, prawns, etc.
• Dairy: cheese, butter, milk, etc.
• Drinks: juice, soft drinks, water, etc.
• Household: toilet paper, detergents, kitchen towels, etc.
• Personal care: soaps, shampoo, conditioner, etc.     
• Wine and spirits: beer, wine, rhum, etc.  

The business offers products under its own private labels such as:

• Spar N˚1: meat loaf, energy drinks, sausages, etc.
• Spar natural(organic products): hazelnut spread, iced tea, milk, etc.
• Spar: baby wipes, ice cream, diapers, etc. 

SPAR Switzerland’s national distribution centre, located in St Gallen, is a modern logistics centre supplying 6,500 ambient and 1,500 chilled stock keeping units.
