The Guimberteau family has owned the Château Franc-Baudron estate since 1923. This is a vineyard on a human scale where each generation has left its footprint on the family heritage. Our productive cycle is carried out entirely in Italy and it starts with the initial division of the tuna into the various cuts that will be canned.The tuna is gutted, then carefullywashed to clean the meat and finally steamed, a method which ensures that the flavourful characteristics of the meat are maintained intact. A constant temperature is maintained during the ensuing preparation phase so that the meat becomes firm in texture and can be accurately cleaned. The most important phase, of which we are very proud, is ‘la monda’ which means the cleaning from bones, skin, scales and red meat. This phase is entirely carried out by hand, by expert local artisans using traditional methods. Following this, the fish is soaked in first choice olive oil, canned, sterilised and vacuum-packed. Finally, after a suitable aging period, which is necessary to obtain maximum flavour, the product is packed and transferred to the warehouse from where, every day, it is sent out all over Italy.

Shortly the Pizzoccheri della Valtellina came out from the local area and through the large-scale retail trade are today known and appreciated in all the Italian regions and abroad.
Pastificio di Chiavenna also obtained by the Italian Ministry the authorization to produce dietetic pasta and pasta for babies (baby food), that's to say pasta with different requirements from the traditional pasta with durum semolina wheat.

The Company was founded by José Rodríguez Vega, father and grandfather of the present owners to engage in the distribution of sugar products, main activity has consistently maintained to the present. The founder, Mr. Rodriguez Vega, had been CEO of the company "VICTORIA" Badalona, which was one of the factories of cookies and candies leading Spain in the 20s.
The first settlement was installed in Riudoms Street No 9, in May 1932, as an interim awaiting the completion of the works in the store-store Raval Alt Jesus No 30. The opening of this restaurant in March 1933 was an important event in the city because the store, decorated by Serafin Olive, had been very nice and the fact that they bestow on everyone with a little detail determined a significant presence of people and personalities in both the official act the opening and throughout the day.
In 1934 the actual febrile company activities were initiated by leasing Monrabà chocolate factory located in the avenue Fàbregas 69. The following year, 1935, was held the purchase of facilities and the first enlargement of machinery. Among the collections of "trading cards" that were released, because at that time the cards and albums were the most common form of advertising and promotion, highlighted by the success, the collection "the Catalan regions" consisting of 40 postcards with maps of each county and ideograms illustrating products and genuine fruits of each.
During one of the bombing and the explosion of a bomb dropped on the street were destroyed facilities Shop Raval Jesus. Also in the last bombing, two bombs collapsed building the Chocolate Factory, but without seriously affecting the machinery. After the war the store was rebuilt and the factory moved to its current location Paseo Sunyer, which have been occurring extensions activities in number and volume (candy, cookies, candies and chocolates) always within the scope of products derived from sugar.
In 1957, to mark the 25th anniversary, the staff of the company, and a staff of 216 employees, paid an emotional tribute to the founder. A sausage making shop “Konsums” was set up in Atlasa Street, Riga, in 1922. The date is also considered as the company’s „Rīgas Miesnieks” year of foundation. A few years later the company was converted into the central union and meet factory and started to export bacon to Sweden.
In the course of the war the company manufactured products for military purposes: canned food, semi-dry and cold-smoked sausages with a long shelf life.
The company “Riga meat and cannery” was started up on the basis of the nationalized enterprise in 1944.
