Founded in 2010 by Josef Schwarz, Lidl Bulgaria is a discounter which is among the leading retail chains in the Bulgarian market. Its headquarters is based in Sofia, Bulgaria. The company is a subsidiary of the German family-owned multinational group, Schwarz Gruppe.
Presently, the business operates over 110 stores in 50 cities across the country.
In the financial year 2020, Lidl Bulgaria achieved a turnover of €697 million and currently employs more than 3,700 people.
