Founded in 2018 by Josef Schwarz, Lidl Serbia is a discount supermarket chain. Its headquarters is based in Nova Pazova, Serbia. The company is part of the family-owned multinational company Schwarz Gruppe based in Germany.Â
Presently, the business operates 60 stores in 35 cities across the country.Â
In the financial year 2020, Lidl Serbia achieved a turnover of €314.6 million, reporting an increase of 54% as compared to the previous year. The firm currently employs more than 3,000 people.Â

Pertaining to its logistics solutions, the business operates its own distribution centre and has a fleet of vehicles to ensure deliveries.Â
In August 2022, Lidl Serbia opened its 2nd logistics centre in the country which created 250 jobs.Â
Concerning sustainability, the firm reduces its carbon footprints by designing its products and packaging in such a way that they can be recycled. Lidl Serbia has set goals of reducing plastic by 20% by 2025.Â
