Lidl, one of the leading retail chains in the world, launched in the US in 2017. The company is a subsidiary of Schwarz Group. Lidl US operates 94 stores and intends to launch 25 more shops in 2020. Lidl US is known for having a strong influence on its competition in the US market.

Lidl US has acquired 27 Best Market Supermarkets which will be converted to Lidl stores in the future.

Lidl US employs over 5000 people and is expected to reach a turnover of € 3.5 billion by 2020.

At present, Lidl US operates 3 warehouses and is investing in building a new warehouse of 925000 sq.ft in Georgia.

Lidl US has also decided to offer cage-free eggs by 2025. The firm has been focussing on sourcing responsibly over the years.
