So Bio is a chain of supermarkets specialised in organic products and serves the French market. The company was founded in 2005 by Nathalie and Jean-Marc Lachat. It is the first organic chain of supermarkets in France and offers high quality products at the lowest prices. In 2018, Carrefour acquired the company with the aim of speeding up its growth across the country.

So.Bio offers between 9000 to 11 000 product references.

So Bio currently operates 36 shops, 4 of which were opened in 2021. Most of these stores have a traditional butcher’s shop.

So Bio achieved a turnover of € 35 million in 2018.

So Bio offers products in the following categories:

• Dairy: cheese and many more.
• Fresh & Chilled Food: fruits, vegetables,meat, poultry, etc
• Savory Grocery: canned olives, dried fruits, pasta, etc

In order to be able to offer organic products at low prices, the company maintains strong relationships with its partners and prefers to work directly with producers.

So Bio sources products mainly from France, Turkey, USA, Italy, Spain and many more..

So Bio has acquired the Ecocert certification.
