The history of Koska dates back to the ‘helvacı’ (halva store) run by Hacı Emin Bey in Denizli in early 1900s. Continuing the family tradition, Halil İbrahim Adil Dindar and his sons arrived in Istanbul in 1931 and opened a store in the neighborhood called ‘Koska’. In time, they earned a reputation for their delicious halva and desserts. Due to their neighborhood, they came to be known as the halva store in Koska and later they officially registered this name as their brand. At the factory built in 1974 in Topkapı, they started manufacturing Turkish delight, preserves and nougat as well as halva. In 1983, brothers Mümtaz and Nevzat Dindar separated from their younger brothers and moved to the modern facilities they built in Merter, deciding to continue operations in this location. Still managed by the fourth generation, Koska continues manufacturing in its new facilities on the Avcılar-Ambarlı Junction stretching over 11 thousand square meters, with 22 thousand square meters of indoor space. Koska now is one of the leading brands in Turkey and exports to 72 countries around the world. Mogyi Ltd. is a 100% Hungarian-owned family business dealing with roasting, packaging and sale of different types of oil seeds and nuts. The company was established with 5 employees in 1990 by two Hungarian brothers, who had the idea to launch the distribution of products that had not yet been introduced into the Hungarian market until then. The number of employees has been increasing continuously for years and it has exceeded 600 by now. Mogyi Ltd’s annual turnover amounted to 76 million euros in 2016. Export sales accounted for 57% of the total turnover.
Mogyi Ltd. has 5 plants for production and warehousing in Hungary installed with the latest technologies. All of the units have their own laboratory, where the quality of the row materials and the final products are continuously controlled. The company is certified and is working according to the following quality standards:

The company is one of the strongest European players in the nuts and seeds category. Our main focus is on sunflower seeds ( in-shell and without shell as well ), microwave popcorn, pumpkin seeds and peanuts. This is mainly down to our own farming system, which is controlled by Mogyi Ltd. from planting the seeds to selling the finished products in retail packaging. This is a very well controlled system, which follows the “from field to the consumer’s table” project. All of the other raw materials used for our products are purchased from the highest quality, which is strictly and continuously controlled.
We’re very proud of our market share in Hungary (about 80%) where we are market leaders and of different products in other countries as well. We have seen increasing demand on sunflower seeds not only in Eastern European countries but also on Western European markets such as in Italy, Germany, and the UK.
We are present in 24 countries with our products from which in 7 we have our own subsidiary (Romania, Poland, Russia, Italy, Serbia, Montenegro, Slovakia).
We supply all supermarket chains in Hungary, TESCO, Penny Market (REWE Group), SPAR, CBA, Auchan, METRO, etc.. L'atelier du Pain is an organic artisan bakery situated in the heart of Belgium. Here you only find bakers with a real passion for food and craftsmanship. Quality is priority. We are part of the group Le Pain Quotidien, for which we develop exclusive recipes. Today, our products are available far outside the Belgian borders. Depending on the needs of our customers, and the logistic possibilities, we deliver fresh or frozen products. Because consumers are always looking for variation, we anticipate on trends and seasons. Every season, we surprise our customers by offering creative solutions for bread, viennoiserie and patisserie. While l'Atelier du Pain is an artisan bakery, each bread is hand-made by real, passionate bakers, and therefor unique ! Most of our breads are prepared with only 4 ingredients : flour, water, salt and....time. Thanks to the long fermentation process lasting 8 tot 30 hours, the dough has enough time to develop a full flavour and structure. Because we also bake on stone, our organic breads - mostly made with sourdough and without preservatives - have a slightly acidic flavour. The process results in a bread that is more cripsy, stays fresh for a longer time and is easy to digest. Besides bread and baguettes, we also produce organic viennoiserie with real butter and other products like muffins, cake and savouries.

SIGNATURE FLATBREADS is an award winning bakery with a truly international outlook. The business was founded in 1984 by Dr Samir Eid, of Lebanese ancestry but born in Ghana (previously the Gold Coast) in 1932.
Dr Eid descended from a family of bakers who left the Middle East to settle in Africa as far back as the first World War. Motivated by his exposure to various cultures and traditions, he had a passion to bake the breads of the world and to introduce them to consumers in the UK. He also wanted his Children; Coreen, William and Charles to continue in the family baking tradition. He started a small bakery in the East of London and waited for his children to complete their education. Coreen studied Law, Charles Medicine and William Engineering. They all joined the bakery business to become third generation bakers.
In Ghana, the family still operates Piccadilly Biscuits Ltd, which employs 600 people. Piccadilly celebrated its 60th anniversary this year and became famous for Choco Cookies that are made using high quality Ghanaian cocoa.
When the Signature UK bakery was incorporated In 1984, few in the UK had been exposed to Pittas, Naans and Tortillas. The bakery was one of the first to introduce Pitta to the UK Supermarket Industry and the very first to launch Naans and Tortillas commercially in the UK. Tortillas volumes were very small when they were initially launched because people did not know what to do with them. However, it was just a matter of time, a decade in fact, before their versatility made them more popular. Also, whilst flatbreads were once regarded as “ethnic breads”, they are no longer so today. Pitta is not necessarily Cypriot, Tortillas not necessarily Mexican and Naans are not only part of the national British dish, the curry, they are also used as Pizza bases. Whilst the Signature bakery was the very first in the UK to introduce Naans commercially, the success and popularity of the breads became a catalyst for their adoption by many supermarkets across the world, including throughout the US and Australia.
Flatbreads are now mainstream in many countries across the world and their appeal continues to increase as consumers seek a variety of eating options. Signature is entirely focused on growing this category for its customers and continues to create a range of new flatbreads to delight the consumer. Signature’s innovation pipeline is so rich that the “Deli Kitchen” brand was created twelve months ago to create a channel to market for new breads. The Deli Kitchen brand made it possible for the company’s innovations to be adopted and tested by its customers quite quickly whilst keeping their offering interesting. Signature’s willingness to use the brand as a platform to test new concepts and to transition to own-label at a future date has encouraged adoption of the brand by the supermarket industry. Charles Eid commented; “Our team is bursting with new ideas which we would like to test and we are delighted that our Deli Kitchen brand is universally recognised for the innovation that it brings. Our ultimate goal is to grow the flatbread category for our customers and we will work tirelessly to do just that.” The brand has already exceeded expectation, reaching multi-million turnover in just over twelve months.
Deli Kitchen branded breads include a very thin wrap with half the calorie content of a Tortilla and a sliced Focaccia for sandwich making which is topped with virgin olive oil. A very recent launch is a Greek style flatbread wrap which is soft and flexible for a more substantial eat. The business continues to invest in people, equipment and innovation and has done so without focus on short term economic trends. Rather, it is locked on the longer term objective of growing its category, both in the UK and internationally.
Shortly after the opening of a £10m extension to its bakery in Dunstable in 2016, an event attended by Rt Hon George Eustice MP, Signature Flatbreads won the Bakery Manufacturer of the Year award. Charles Eid commented: “We are delighted to win (this) award. We have an exceptional team of people who are absolutely committed to delivering stand out bakery products and outstanding customer satisfaction in what is a very competitive marketplace, so to be recognised for the quality of our work and products means a great deal.”

In November 2018, Signature Flatbreads’ Joint CEOs Charles and William Eid won the prestigious Entrepreneur of the Year award at Insider’s Central & East Dealmakers Awards. The event celebrates the success of outstanding individual achievements as well as those of corporate finance firms, funders and others.
In February 2019, Signature Flatbreads won the Insider Made in Central & East England ‘Food Manufacturer of the Year’ award; for companies with a turnover over £25m. The awards celebrate businesses from across the region that have been recognised by a panel of independent judges having demonstrated success in innovation, product development and growth, in either domestic or overseas markets. Mr David Laurence, Joint Managing Director of the UK business commented; “We are delighted to have won such a prestigious award. We are constantly innovating and evolving the manufacturing elements of the business and this award is a testament to the continuous work we put into improvement. We eagerly anticipate the national awards later on this year.”
Signature’s success in export markets has been particularly noteworthy. The UK business exports to many countries in Europe and to the US. From time to time, the UK business exports to Russia and China also. Famously, the business exports Crumpets to Japan.
Signature Flatbreads this year achieved both “Gold” and “Silver” at the 22nd Annual Royal Hobart Fine Food Awards in Australia. The “Seeded Flatbun” took Gold at the prestigious awards and the “White Flatbun” won a Silver. The flatbreads, stocked at supermarkets in Australia, received between 90-100 points to achieve the top accolade at the awards.
David Laurence commented; “As third generation bakers we use our experience and bespoke approach to create quality flatbreads that meet the needs of the consumer. We are delighted to have had our products recognised and securing two awards at such a highly respected industry event is exceptional, particularly given the distance between the UK and Australia. This success is testament to the pride our people take in the breads we bake and to how these breads are enjoyed worldwide.”
Signature’s Indian breads became so popular, they were also sold in India. The shareholders of the business eventually founded a bakery in India which has today grown to employ over 200 people. The company is baking Indian breads, in India, for the Indian consumer. Amongst the range are Chapati, Kulcha, a variety of Parathas, Theplas, Pooris and more.
Signature India also supplies a wider range of non-Indian flatbreads, including Tortillas, various sandwich carriers and Pizza bases and these are sold into the Indian domestic market and in export markets beyond India also. Export destinations include the Middle East, Africa, Malaysia and Korea.
About the success of the venture in India, William Eid reflected that; “Venturing into new markets requires that you learn about your customers and that you adapt to their needs quickly. The quicker you learn, the quicker you can start to make progress. A passion for your craft will give you the stamina you will need to recover from setbacks.”
On a recent visit to Signature Flatbreads, Rt H Elizabeth Truss MP commented; “Selling Naan breads in India from a company based in Dunstable would once have been unthinkable” and is the “ultimate embodiment of global Britain”.
Underpinning the company’s success are its corporate values and these are published on its website, under the following caption;
“Our commitment to providing product quality and excellence, in everything we do, is central to our success.”
Signature Flatbreads achieved an AA+ rating at an unannounced BRC audit which took place at various locations in recent months. All production and warehousing sites at the Dunstable bakery were audited and standards were surpassed in all areas, resulting in the top score possible.
Duncan Campbell, Technical Director at Signature Flatbreads, says: “At Signature Flatbreads we pride ourselves on our high standards in all parts of the production process. Consistent standards of excellence enable us to produce a range of high quality, great tasting and innovative products that help our customers to grow their own businesses. In appreciation for its people and their contribution, Signature pays above average rates for its staff. In the UK, it has adopted the Real Living Wage, despite a backdrop of economic uncertainty.

Following a highly successful year in 2018, Signature Flatbreads has installed two large high capacity production lines in Dunstable this year with an outlay of £8m. The new lines have created 50 additional jobs this year alone. The business now employs 950 people and continues to grow.

We are a specialist manufacturing bakery dedicated to creating delicious American-style baked goods, such as muffins, cakes/brownies, cookies, flapjacks, oat bars and loaf cakes. We produce a variety of free-from goods suitable to most diets, including, those avoiding gluten/wheat, egg, lactose, without sugar and vegan plant based products. Often free-from foods are associated with lack of taste and texture, our aim was to dispel these misconceptions and promote the idea that just because a product is free-from, one should not have to compromise with their enjoyment of it...they are treats after-all ! What is the point if they don’t taste great.
We have been baking our regular American-style muffins in London since 1998 and began by distributing them locally. By 2004 we saw a gap in the market for gluten-free baked goods that had the great taste and texture of our regular muffins. Since then, we have grown as a company and supply many major supermarkets as well as catering organisations in Europe and UK.
As well as expanding physically by moving to a bigger factory, we have also expanded our range of products to include a greater variety of sizes and flavours. Despite our growth we have always kept our goals and passion for creating the best tasting products and we pride ourselves in the quality of ingredients we use and an excellent uncompromising service.
Our products are exported to more than 10 countries in Europe and sold in major supermarkets in either our own brand or under private label. We are an IFS Food and BRC accredited company with an additional AOECS gluten free accreditation. At American Muffin company we never compromise on the quality of our products nor our service to our clients.

The history of the Vergani Panettone is our family history: for four generations, we have preserved the values and traditions that have made Vergani an excellent brand in Italy and abroad. It all began back in 1944, in a small bakery in Viale Monza, Milan. Angelo Vergani, an enterprising young man who loved baking and his city, started his own business. Thanks to natural ingredients and the continuous pursuit of quality, “Mr Vergani” became known and appreciated by his fellow citizens and specialised in making the real Milanese Panettone. In just a few years, his Panettone cakes became popular beyond the “borders” of Milan and Vergani became a real food business. After more than seventy years, our products can now be found in many countries in Europe, USA, Canada, Brazil, Ausralia and more.
Today Vergani is the last Panettone factory still in Milan, and produce among the premium range of panettone with which become famous all around the workd, a range of healty products (organic, gluten free, ancient grains, whole grains and vegan) and a range studied for supermarkets needs.

Our business has been dealing with the preparation of flavoured corn snacks and the manufacture of fried potato snacks since 1996.
Our White Snack and Fehértói Csemege brand products are known all over Hungary, and in addition to that we produce private label products for numerous multinational and retail partners of ours. The number of our partners keeps growing within Hungary and also in the foreign markets.
It is our goal to provide the homes of our customers with snacks of a consistently good quality that also fulfil the requirements of healthy eating at a favourable price. Since our company was established, we have been producing gluten-free snacks, and we have also started manufacturing ORGANIC snack products, fulfiling a long-cherished desire of ours.
These selected ingredients are processed using state-of-the-art technology within the framework of the International Food System, which is another guarantee of safe production.
We have become unique among snack producers, as our open attitude towards new partners and our continuous efforts for renewal are linked with accumulated experience, and thanks to the developments, we are capable of easily meeting the demands of even the largest clients.
We store our products in a 3,000 m2 storage facility, and deliver them, also uniquely, using our own transport operator services, which enables us to supply the logistics and wholesale centres of our multinational partners (LIDL, REWE GROUP, TESCO, Auchan) and the stores of the retail chains (CBA, REÁL) as well.
Our business is still in 100% Hungarian family ownership.
Our company is going to develop our ORGANIC product group. The process of product development has been initiated, and we wish to produce gluten-free and lactose-free corn snacks in a number of flavours. Lidas, a family owned company, managed to develop from a window bakery to a highly automated and modern factory during it’s 28 years of existence. The frozen goods production is a key business process for the company, Lidas aiming to become one of the key players in Europe in the next 5 years.
In 2021 Lidas started the construction of the most modern and complex production facility for frozen bakery and pastry in Romania, being designed to the highest technological standards at European level. This factory will be ready to deliver it's products all around the world at the end of 2022, with a capacity of production for frozen bakery products of 20.600 tons/year and for frozen pastry production of 6.900 tons/year.
