The inception of the Dr. Jacobs Naturals brand actually stemmed from our oldest son. He was having issues with eczema and we could not find an all-natural soap that was sensitive enough for his skin, while soothing his mind.
We live and breathe our mission every day, by incorporating healthy choices into our work. Each year I go on a 180-mile bike ride to raise money for Camp Simcha, a remarkable overnight camp that provides seriously ill children with a vacation from sickness, restoring their spirits and renewing their determination to fight their illness.
With this belief of clean living, we began researching soaps that were healthy for the most sensitive skin, while creating holistic benefits for your mind and soul. We found that Castile soaps were wonderful for sensitive skin, but it took us researching about Dr. Jacobs, the Swiss Chemist who perfect the Castilian tradition of making Jabon de Castilla or Castile soap, to understand how to create the most natural of these soaps with the skin and aromatic characteristics in mind.All of the Dr. Jacobs Naturals Castile Soaps are 100% vegetable based (never any animal by products) and made from the highest quality natural and organic ingredients like olive and coconut oil, never palm oil, which is known for being harsh on your skin. Antioxidant rich olive and coconut oil have the ability to naturally moisturize your skin, keeping it hydrated all day with no oily residue. We also added aloe vera and Vitamin E to enhance the moisture experience.
Keeping the sense of touch and the skin in mind, we wanted to create a luxurious feeling Castile soap, so we increased the viscosity two fold by adding the most natural of ingredients, sea salt, and never adding any foaming agents. We from Ortega Aromatizadores are classified as a factory of ceramic products that operates with the mission of bringing health and well-being. We are based in São Paulo (Brazil) and have recently established a distribution center in London (England). We manufacture, distribute and retail personal essential oil diffusers sold in a form of necklace to the Brazilian market.
We were pioneers in the manufacture of personal essential oil diffusers. It all started in 1985, when my brother and plastic artist, Marco Ortega, created the first personal essential oil diffuser. It was a work of great dedication and extensive research upon the topic in order to arrive at the correct material (the ceramic), and the development of the production methodology. We differ from other personal essential oil diffuser manufacturers due our main component, the ceramic, which, is an inert material, does not contaminate the purity of the essential oils, unlike most metals - of which the majority of others personal essential oil diffusers are made of. In 2015, I, Maurício Ortega, have assumed as the new owner, while my brother decided to follow other professional endeavours. Since then, I have successfully introduced several “lean manufacturing” concepts to the company, such as people involvement, standardization, built-in quality, short lead time and continuous improvement. In the following year (2016), my wife Silvana Bhering, has joined me as a company partner and today we lead the Brazilian market in the distribution of personal oil diffuser diffusers.
Since we prioritize personal well-being, our concern for the environment cannot be different. With that in mind, we are constantly working to reduce waste from processes, water and electricity consumption, plastic usage, among other actions.

Formed in 1973, family-owned company Nelson Honey & Marketing (NZ) Ltd is owned and operated by Philip Cropp. Philip’s grandfather started producing honey from hives in the Nelson area as a side business to his fruit orchard more than 100 years ago.
Over the past four decades the company has grown substantially in terms of production volume, international exports and product diversification. From a one-man apiary producing a small selection of honeys in Motupiko, 50kms south of Nelson city, Nelson Honey in conjunction with our sister company Rainbow Honey Ltd, we now have well over 8,000 hives sited throughout pristine wilderness areas in the Top of the South and along the West Coast of New Zealand.
Philip was the first in his industry to combine Manuka Honey with Bee Venom, following requests from a farmer down the road who suffered from arthritis. After considerable testing to establish the right balance between Manuka Honey and Bee Venom he launched a product named Nectar Ease, which is also known as the ‘aches and pains honey’ as it may assist people who suffer from sore joints, arthritis and related problems.
Business grew steadily following the launch of Nectar Ease, until early 2010 Philip started experimenting with a skincare range that would combine the health benefits of Nectar Ease with the wellness benefits of skincare. He figured if the combination of Manuka Honey and Bee Venom supported cortisone production in the body, it could do a lot of good used on people’s skin too and this was how Royal Nectar Skincare was born.

“It was in 2009 when I decided to start researching what possibilities there are to start producing beauty products from Estonian peat. I quickly learned that in Estonia peat is widely used to create calorific value and to produce fertilizer. But when it came to cosmetic purposes, no one had attempted to deal with the subject in depth. Here and there you might hear that someone had tried to do, test or research something. There was no summary research that could have resulted in the production of a product for consumers. Thus I started collecting materials about the peat that was used for cosmetic purposes and its properties and effects. When it came to information that we could not find, we conducted experiments in cooperation with the University of Tartu and the Tallinn University of Technology to identify which problems and conditions peat heals and alleviates. Every new answer gave us more motivation to reach the final product. During the process it became clear that peat is a temperamental raw material. It works well enough when it is alone, but when we wanted to make it work with other components in order to produce more versatile beauty products, the results were subpar. In the end we realized that the only way to “tame” peat is to develop a methodology that would give us a raw material that would allow us to achieve equivalent results in the production of the final product. We started an extensive development process that resulted in a technology that allowed us to filter peat. This result gave us pure, 100% organic and stable peat with a rich composition which is now used to make all Aesti beauty products.”
