These last decades brought us new food choices, busy timetables, different lifestyles and social sharing interactions, now full part of our daily lives.
In regards to eating, body and mindset, which were built slowly over hundred of centuries of evolution, encounter a real challenge to adapt to this brutal change of environment.
By creating smart devices with tailored feedback, Slow Control builds up solutions that enhance your meal experiences.
« French women keep a close eye on staying fit and yet don’t deprive themselves from enjoying food and sharing good time during a meal. Our cultural heritage is deeply anchored in traditional culinary arts and fine dining.
This is probably the reason why my wife Nathalie, was sharp at pointing out: how i tended to rush my meals, how a lump blocking the baby bottle nipple could create a mess with mealtime shifts and how my son was trying to skip vegetables to go straight for the chocolate sugar yogurt.
As she raised all these issues, i started to look for solutions. Fortunately, the latest technologies of Internet of Things create smart and instant interactions. They enable to live easily according to the precepts of behavorial nutrition science.
With our team, and with that background, we are working hard at building efficient tools that will enhance your meal experience. »

Things can always be better. This is the conviction shared by the meat-processing companies in the Van Loon Group. We can always improve. For you, our customers, as well as for consumers and the environment in which we operate. Sustainability and chain management are therefore firmly anchored in our business operations.
The companies in the Van Loon Group guarantee high quality and safe meat products. Together with our customers, we translate constantly changing consumer demands into appealing meat product concepts (organic, convenience, BBQ, animal welfare). Close relationships with customers are essential here, as is our faith in the power of simplicity. We do not do things the hard way if we can do them easily. And we think in terms of solutions, not problems. That benefits you, our customers.
We are very aware of the fact that sustainable business is a continuous process. Corporate social responsibility is, therefore, structurally rooted in our business operations. To manage and monitor the progress we make in this area, we work with four pillars: Consumer & Health, Chain Management and Animal Welfare, Employee Health and Safety and Sustainable Production
Consumer and Health
An increasing number of people in the Netherlands and other countries are consciously choosing healthy lifestyles. More exercise, no smoking and healthy eating are all part of this. As a meat-processing company, we play an important role in guaranteeing food safety. Consumers and customers must have confidence in our products and processes. In addition, we are also constantly working on ways of making our products healthier. By introducing less allergen, fat, nitrite and sodium in products, for example, but also through reduced use of antibiotics by our cattle and pig farmers.
Chain Management and Animal Welfare
Success in sustainability and animal-friendly business practices can only be ensured if these are secured throughout the chain. Animals must be housed, treated, cared for, fed and transported with care. From birth to slaughter. The Netherlands is definitely a front-runner when it comes to animal welfare, but there is always room for improvement. Van Loon Group ensures the required processes are adequately executed by each link in the chain and monitors this. With a focus on sustainability and animal welfare. We aim to realise optimal transparency for our customers and consumers.
Employee Health & Safety
People are our most important asset. Van Loon Group will do whatever it takes to create a healthy, safe working environment. This means we are committed to ensuring work is safe and enjoyable whilst also stimulating a healthy lifestyle. In 2014 we founded the Van Loon Campus with these goals in mind. Education and training help employees carry out their jobs adequately and safely. In addition, the Van Loon Campus facilitates employees’ personal growth and development.
Sustainable production
From rooftop solar panels and stimulating 'sustainable behaviour' amongst employees to heat recovery and reducing wastewater contamination levels. Sustainable production offers companies a wide range of possible measures and that goes for the Van Loon Group, too. We are committed to reducing our footprint without compromising the continuity of our organization. The construction of our new, highly sustainable production site in Son this year is a prime example.

Short introduction to the activities of the family business Ambrovics, including two companies Ambropek and Minit Slovakia Our family business was founded in 1991 as a family bakery in Slovakia. We entirely switched to the production and sale of pre-proofed and deep-frozen bakery products in 2001 when acquiring the Slovak and Czech operation of the leading Central European franchise bakery network. The manufacturing of pre-baked products started in 2007. The current product portfolio includes over 160 products ranging from pre-baked breads, rolls to various pre-proofed pastries. Our products are sold within our franchise chain (400 partners) and also to major retailers in Slovakia, Hungary and Czech Republic including Kaufland, Billa, Tesco, Rewe-Penny Market. We have 10 years of experience with supply of major and also middle sized retailers in Slovakia and Czech Republic. We are producing at an outstanding quality thanks to the expertise of our bakers and to the manufacturing machinery of the highest standards on European level. Rademaker from Holland, WP and Fritsch from Germany, Scanico from Denmark – all of them belong to our machinery suppliers. Our products have high added value and are very popular among the customers thanks to their excellent price-to-value ratio. Our factories with a 1100 tones pre-proofed pastry and 1500 tones of pre-baked bread capacity per month is strategically located in South-West Slovakia close to Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic. Last year we finished one of the biggest bakery investment in Central and Eastern Europe in deep frozen bakery category in our Ambropek factory. The highest and most rigorous food production standards are applied in order to ensure top quality and continuous customer satisfaction – IFS and Tesco audit. Our factory includes a research and development center, thus making both firms an ideal partner for developing new products according to special needs. Our complex service and product offering supports business partners throughout every aspect of their sale: developing, producing and supplying deep-frozen bakery products including pre-proofed and pre-baked products (breads, rolls, sweet products, filled, unfilled), private-label product development and bake-off services.

ABOUT US
Our purpose is to connect people to nature and by doing so help them make better food choices for their own health and the health of our planet. In order to do this, we will create a new kind of food company. A company that is inspired by nature in everything we do.
Our mission is to speed up the transformation to sustainable food. We must change the way we consume and produce our food – and the time is now. We need to reconnect our food with nature and at Wessanen we have made a good start.
We...
In 2019 we have achieved the full B Corp group certification, making Wessanen Europe the first multinational food business to achieve this. To us, B Corp is a recognition of the work all the team does – from the products that we make, the initiatives we take to the green energy that we use in the company and to recognise that we produce a positive impact.
How do you achieve the B Corp certification? To achieve the B Corp certification a company needs to pass an extensive impact assessment in the categories Governance, Community, Environment, Workers and Customers. It is an evaluation of every single action a company takes, and it takes at least 80 points to pass. Wessanen has achieved a total of 91.7, which is the consolidated score of all Wessanen companies.
What do we, as a B Corp company, now do differently? Nothing. But we certainly don’t sit back on our heels. We work every day to build on our success and continue making the world a little better. Healthier food for healthier people and a healthier world.

Roerink Food Family is a family business consisting of five organisations. All with one and the same passion: making the most delicious dairy products. Each business has its own speciality, varying from authentic Boer'n Yoghurt® to unique dips with cream cheese and fresh herbs, from organic goat cheese to icecream desserts made from fresh milk. Each product with its own distinct positioning. All unique and, more importantly, delicious.
The origins of Roerink Food Family lie in Twekkelo, a rural area near the town of Hengelo in the Eastern Netherlands. The story began in 1981 when Diane Roerink began selling artisan-made dairy products from the old clog-makers shed on her parent's property. Gerjhan Roerink made these products on the farm using exclusively fresh grass-fed milk from farmers in the direct vicinity.
New developments followed rapidly after 1981. In 1985 a second shop was opened and the first products found their way to a supermarket. Ten years later, the Twekkelo products could be found in just about every Dutch supermarket. Yet Twekkelo products are still being produced at the very same place where Diane Roerink once began.
In 2011, Twekkelo took over the recipe and trademark of HEKS'NKAAS® from a grocer in Losser. HEKS'NKAAS® internationally named Miss Magic® has since found its own modern production site on the Hinmanweg in Oldenzaal.
Since the takeover of Miss Magic®, an umbrella name has been created: Roerink Food Family. To date, this name covers Twekkelo, Zuivelhoeve shops and Miss Magic®.
In 2014, Roerink Food Family invested in the expansion of the organic goat farm, De Lingehof, which is a care farm with 1,500 goats. Fresh, spreadable organic goat cheese is made from the milk of these goats. From 2016, this cheese will be sold under the brand name of Happy Goat®.
In late 2014, Van der Poel Desserts became part of Roerink Food Family. Van der Poel Desserts is a unique business, a top quality ice cream producer. On 29 February 2016, after much deliberation between the Van der Poel family and Roerink Food Family, the business name was changed to ‘De Dessert Meesters' [The Dessert Masters]. This was to avoid confusion with the Van der Poel family's ice cream parlours.

Salumificio Sorrentino was founded in 1982 by an outstanding artisian, Marino Sorrentino, who was a master in the art of preparing cured meats. The art was then handed down from father to the son Giovanni. The combination of tradition and technology are the major skills of this company. The ancient knowledge of selecting only the best meats, following each step personally to the point of perfection (from the initial step to the final drying of the meats) and the computerized system that controls the drying of the meats and the respectful atmosphere, all add to the excellence of the final product. The quality of the raw materials is assured by rigid selection of the animals. Through the contrast of these two points tradition and technology the target of the Sorrentino Company can be explained: to produce high quality salami. Each day in the Sorrentino men and technology work together to give you the pleasure in tasting a good slice of salami.

Trentin SpA is specialized in Italian hard cheese, which accounts for about 50% of our turnover, but our strength further comes from the broad assortment we supply: from Mozzarella, Mascarpone, Ricotta, Burrata, through Gorgonzola, Taleggio, Asiago, Grana Padano to being one of the major players in Parmigiano Reggiano. We offer tailor-made solutions and flexibility for our customers, mainly retail chains, but also food service and food industries.
Apart from the "mainstream" Italian products mentioned above, we also offer almost any other Italian cheese specialty customers might want. We are further continuously working at expanding our range of Organic cheeses, since more and more consumers are asking for them.
We would be honored to help you develop your range of Italian cheeses succesfully, as interest in this range of products is still growing, the consumer going further and further into her discovery of the many "beauties" Italy has to offer (in terms of cheese).
Our job is to:
- offer the full assortment of Italian cheeses
- constant (high) quality
- competitive pricing
- flexibility
- one stop shop - one delivery
