Sweet Salt comes from evaporated seas, that existed 200 million years ago, and covered North America. During the Jurassic era, volcanoes erupted, sealing the salt and protecting it from any form of pollution.
We are fortunate, in that it is currently being mined by people who recognize that Sweet Salt really is one of the finest and purest salts on the market; unrefined, untreated, containing no additives, and it is one hundred per cent natural.
Sweet Salt is carefully extracted from an underground deposit in central Utah and it is from the volcanic ash, which is rich in minerals, that it gets it’s impressive colouring.
A favourite with American chefs, it is a generous salt in the kitchen, in that it can enhance several flavours, without being dominant. In short, it brings out the best in others, whilst still being confident enough to offer a very pleasant mild aftertaste.
Suitable with most dishes, Sweet Salt is a natural beauty and a joy to have in the kitchen.
