In 1955, Lucien PETIT, a pastry cook at la Trinité sur Mer, had the idea to produce biscuits rolled by hand, called “cigarettes”. Within 10 years, this production went from 80 kg to 600 kg per day. In 1972, to deal with the constant growing demand, Lucien’s son, Bernard PETIT, current managing director of la Trinitaine, then 25 years old, decided to build a factory of 2200m². This plant today covers 25000 m² and produces 60 tonnes of goods per day, ranging from wide choice of biscuits to madeleines, made with butter or vegetable oil. The rigorous selection of the raw materials, which must be totally natural, and of high quality, the follow up and the processing control, the strict respect of food safety, automated packaging, are ensured by men and women assisted by tools of production of high qualified technology. Each day, the PETIT family and their 90 employees work towards one objective: more quality to better satisfy the customer. This challenge was rewarded in 1986 by the award of the “Laurier d’or” (Golden Laurel) for quality and tradition. In 2012, the Cannery was equipped with a new vegetable cleaning line enabling to speed up the vegetable cleaning process with compressed steam. In 2013, there was installed a modern, fully-automated industrial cooking pot made in Germany significantly accelerating the entire production process. In 2015, there was installed powerful vegetable cutting machine.
In 2016, the Alytus Cannery produced over 3 thousand tons of different products. In 2016 Alytus Cannery was installed a new fully automated vacuum cooking pot. Alytus Cannery employs approximately 40 employees. In 2016 Alytus Cannery plant's had turnover of 3,072 EUR excluding value added tax (VAT).
Alytus Dairy, the manufacturing unit of the Company RIVONA, produces yoghurts, sour cream, milk, kefir, butter, curds and cheese curds, - altogether around 60 sorts of various dairy products. In 2014, the Company made the investment of LTL 1 million (289 thousand EUR) for the renovation of the existing equipment and acquisition of the new one. In 2016, the turnover of the Alytus Dairy totaled up to LTL 14,36 million EUR exclusive of the Value Added Tax. The Dairy produced 18,2 thousand tons of products. In average, it employs about 68 people. In 2013, it launched a new ice-cream unit producing 25 different sorts of ice-cream. During 2016 year, the unit produced 6,8 million portions of ice-cream. The greatest part of its products the Dairy supplies to NORFA commercial network.

With 6.3 million plants, we can harvest between 890-900 thousand agave plants per year. Our estimated production capacity for agave syrup is 600 tons per month.

Mlékárna Hlinsko dairy was founded in 1939 and production there started in 1943. In the first year of its operation the dairy processed two million liters of raw milk which were used to produce powdered milk, condensed milk, butter and dried buttermilk.
After 70 years of its operation it handles nearly 200 million liters of milk per year and its production program was expanded to include long-life milk and cream, ice cream and crushed ice.

Selva production facilities are being monitored and controlled against insects all the time! Also, Selva inspects the distributors warehouses. Even dust is not allowed to get in production and warehouse building beacuse of special air conditioning system that creates positive air pressure.
Each Selva product detected several times by the computer controlled metal dedector and scaled each by each. If there is a metal detected, the package will be separated from the production line.
Selva added different weight and packed products into kitchen assistent and dessert assistant catagory. Also wheat for noah’s pudding is added into anatolian flavors category.

Founded in 1900 by Thomas Auld, the company was then taken over and lead by Thomas’ nephew Ian Marr in the 1950’s who went on to spend 65 years in the baking industry before his passing in 2013. Over 65 years ago my father had a bakery in the centre of Shrewsbury. It was locally famous for its wonderful artisan breads, morning goods and speciality cream cakes. Ahead of his time he invited bakers to demonstrate their skills to his staff from both Switzerland and Denmark. These amazing cakes were made in the bakery at the rear of the shop and sold fresh from the oven to his customers.
I started my training as a chef and then went to work for my father and carried out my training under these skilled bakers. I had a passion for making desserts and wanted to use these skills to make only high quality products but on a larger scale. Over 35 years ago my opportunity came up as a small run down factory unit came to the market. It was on a very large green-field site, in a beautiful mid Wales valley with views to Long Mountain and the world renowned National Trust Powis Castle. After much hard work to get the factory up to a good standard our first in line pie machine was installed. The engineer suggested altering the recipes to suit the machine. He was told in no uncertain terms that his machine had to work with our recipes and not the other way around! That principle has now remained in place for over 35 years!
My wife originally set up and ran the laboratory, testing our ingredients coming in and our products going out with this attention to detail being almost unheard of at the time for a factory of that size. Again a principal we have maintained to this very day!
Over these years we have remained at the forefront of development, only using the highest quality ingredients and using the best traditional production methods to achieve the high standard of products for our very discerning customers.
I firmly believe it is the confidence our customers have had in our ability to produce high quality hand finished products combined with the fantastic team that we have developed over the years that has enabled us to grow to the size we are today
