IQF Bilberry (Vaccinium myrtillus L.)

Berries have always been treated as a miracle cure for many diseases; they improve eyesight, lower the level of bad cholesterol, improve the elasticity of blood vessels.

Berries contain mineral elements, especially selenium, zinc, copper and manganese as well as vitamins C, A, B, PP and a high dose of fibre.

Our berries are collected from the cleanest areas of Poland – Bory Tucholskie (The Tuchola Forest) and northern Sweden and Finland, that is why we offer high quality organic fruit.

IQF cultivated blueberry (Vaccinium corymbosum L.)  and high bush blueberry (Vaccinium angustifolium L.) 

Blueberry is a cousin of the forest bilberry. Its dark blue fruit is appreciated all over the world for the taste and positive impact on the body, i.e. it protects against cancer, because the high content of antioxidants and anthocyanins makes high-bush blueberries helpful in cancer prevention, improves eyesight, supports heart function and delays aging processes.

IQF (Ribes rubrum L.)

Varieties: Polana, Polka, Laszka (Poland), Heritage (Chile), Fertodi (Hungary), Wilamette (Serbia).

Raspberry has very tasty fruit with the content of the following vitamins: C, E, B and various nutrients: potassium, magnesium, tannins and flavonoids: It has excellent antipyretic properties, improves immunity and intestinal passage.

IQF red currant (Ribes rubrum L.)

Main varieties: Jonkheer van Tets, Rondom, Rozeta, Rovada. Redcurrants have not only health, but also care properties. Thanks to their high pectin content, they control blood sugar and cholesterol levels. Vitamin C, PP and iron contained in redcurrants have astringent, toning and antibacterial properties.

Our customers have already appreciated our currants, we sell them all over Europe as well as in Asia. They are produced according to individual quality requirements of our customers.

Red currants that we offer could be cultivated, organic and also kosher.

IQF black currant (Ribes nigrum L.)

Main varieties: Ruben, Tiben, Tisel, Titania, Ben Lemond. Blackcurrant called ‘the elixir of youth’ is a real vitamin bomb. It has a huge vitamin C and antioxidants content. It is estimated that 100 g of these fruit cover over 200% of the daily human demand for vitamin C. It is used in upper respiratory tract infections and rheumatic diseases.

Our currants come from controlled polish plantations, more than half of them are certified crops according to the Global G.A.P. standard as well as fruit from organic plantations.

Blackcurrants are produced according to standard and individual quality requirements of our customers. Offered currants be cultivated, organic and also kosher.

IQF Lingonberry (Vaccinium vitis-idaea L.)

It is also called a red whortleberry. It comes from the cleanest regions of Sweden and Finland and has many uses. Lingonberry is, first of all, a very valuable dietetic food and it strengthens the body. They contain large amounts of vitamin C, carotenoids, tannins, anthocyanins, flavonoids and mineral salts, recommended in case of anaemia.

We have been involved in the production of lingonberry for several years and we achieve very good results in terms of quality.

IQF Gooseberry (Ribes L.)

Gooseberries are often added to drinks and desserts as a compote or purée, as well as being made into jams, chutneys and sauces in savoury dishes. They pair especially well with other seasonal fruits such as elderflowers and strawberries, along with citrus fruits.

Thsi fruit is full of C vitamin, low in calories, contain moderate levels of antioxidants as well as minerals such as copper, calcium, phosphorus, manganese, magnesium, and potassium.

IQF Cranberry (Vaccinium oxycoccos L.)

In the past it was called ‘a lemon for the poor’, it has an antibacterial effect, fights urinary tract infections and reduces the risk of atherosclerosis as well as cardiovascular diseases. It belongs to the group of natural antibiotics. Cranberry is used in berry soups, porridges, souces and pastries.

CLOUDBERRY

(RUBUS CHAMAEMORUS)

This golden yellow berry growing wild at the northern swamps has many names: cloudberry, nordic berry, or knotberry, as well as many local variations of the name. The berry has a distinctive tart taste, and it’s one of the most highly valued wild berries in Scandinavia. Cloudberry is rich in vitamin C, even 3-4 times more than an orange! It also includes vitamin E, actually more than most other fruits or grain. It has high consistency of dietary fiber and includes ellagic acid, a natural phenol antioxidant. Cloudberry has a variety of minerals and fatty acids that are good for your health. A northern super berry, that is!

Polarica’s cloudberries are picked from northern parts of Finland and Sweden. The berried are processed and packaged in Haparanda, Sweden.

IQF SEA BUCKTHORN (HIPPOPHAË RHAMNOIDES)

This brightly orange coloured berry truly belongs amongst the superfood category.  Sea buckthorn is one of the most nutritious wild berries in Scandinavia. Just one decilitre of this berry contains the same amount of vitamin C than one orange. Sea buckthorn also includes plenty of vitamin E, dietary fibre and fatty acids that are good for you. The berry includes a lot of polyunsaturated fatty acids, and that’s why its quality juice doesn’t dissolve in water.

Try it just as it is with porridge or yogurt, straight from the freezer. Sea buckthorn is also a great ingredient for juice and marmalade, and seasons game meat dishes. The bright orange colour and the berry’s distinctive flavour are great additions to festive menus.

Create a refreshing smoothie out of sea buckthorn together with banana, orange and yogurt or oat milk (or other plant-based milk or yogurt). It is available as conventional, organic and kosher.
