Our chefs start by marinating our SHICKEN pieces in a vegan yogurt and our tikka spice mix marinade, this is left for 24 hours in the chiller so the SHICKEN pieces are completely coated by the marinade. The combination of our SHICKEN pieces and our traditional vegan tikka marinade makes the perfect Tikka Kebabs.
The first of our Pan-Asian range, the Teriyaki kebab is a real favourite across Asia with its origins truly coming from Japan. Our chefs start by marinating our SHICKEN pieces in a spice mix followed by a sticky teriyaki glaze. Recreating the globally loved chicken teriyaki with our plant-based SHICKEN pieces.
Shicken Tikka Masala is Britain’s favourite curry now made with our plant-based chicken pieces
Nobody Truly knows where the famous chicken tikka masala dish originated from. Some argue that it originated from the 5 star hotels in Mumbai and Delhi, where as others argue that the origins of this dish truly lie in the famous curry houses in the curry mile streets of Birmingham and Glasgow. I don't think we will ever discover the real truth.
Our [SHICKEN] vegan chicken tikka masala is made with love and passion, our chefs have worked extremely hard to use vegan equivalent ingredients that would normally be used in a traditional chicken tikka masala.
Our chefs started by marinating our SHICKEN pieces in a vegan yogurt and tikka spice mix marinade, this is left for several hours in the chiller so the SHICKEN pieces are completely coated by the marinade. The pieces are then smothered with our creamy rich Tikka Masala curry sauce and finally packed into bio packaging.
Butter Chicken (in our case Butter Shicken) or the local name in India (Murgh Makhani) is one of the most popular North Indian curries served in Indian restaurants across the UK and India.
Another curry that originates from the Northern state of India, traditionally the Butter chicken curry is made with the leftovers of Chicken Tikka, where chicken has been marinated in a tikka and tandoori marinade, cooked on a coal fire or tandoor oven. The leftovers of the chicken tikka are then cooked in a Butter curry sauce.
Now that’s the history of this dish, obviously we at SHICKEN applied our #theshickeneffect, marinating our SHICKEN pieces overnight in our vegan yogurt, tikka and tandoori spice marinade. We then cook our marinated pieces on a live flame to obtain a BBQ char to our pieces and then smother them in our butter vegan curry sauce.
With our Butter curry sauce, we start with a base of finely chopped and fried onions to which we add our unique vegan spice mix, tomatoes, ground melon seeds to replicate the creamy taste and flavour of a really butter curry.
The finishing touch for our SHICKEN Butter curry is blending our sauce to a smooth silky texture and then covering our SHICKEN pieces completely with Butter curry sauce.
Our tender SHICKEN Balti is the closest curry to what most people in northern Indian state of Punjab would class as a traditional chicken curry.
Our SHICKEN pieces are cooked in a rich tomato and onion based curry sauce in a large pan as we would in a traditional Punjabi house on a Saturday as a weekend treat. The Balti curry is layered with spices to create a real depth of flavour and taste explosion in your mouth with the first bite and then every bite there after.

Well that's with a normal chicken korma, with our SHICKEN vegan chicken korma version we have gone to extreme lengths to make sure we provide our customers with the same experience and enjoyment of eating a korma. The only difference, we have substituted all the dairy ingredients with vegan alternatives, including cream for coconut cream, yogurt for vegan yogurt and achieved a balance between spice, creaminess and sweetness.
