Vineyard The Shiraz for this wine was grown on our certified organic vineyard with 26 year old vines. Cover crops such as barley, oats, wheat and broad beans are used on this vineyard as mulch to suppress weeds during the winter. The healthy soil has been maintained without the use of synthetic chemicals, fertilisers or pesticides, a process which releases the natural fruity flavours in the grapes resulting in beautiful wine. Winemaking Harvested late February 2019 in the early hours of the morning, our Shiraz grapes were transported to the winery to be crushed and destemmed to an open top fermenter. The must was inoculated and allowed to ferment between 25-30 degrees celcius until dry. The cap was pumped over and splashed twice daily allowing plenty of air into the ferment for a minimum of 7 days. Once primary ferment was completed, the must was bag pressed and racked to older French oak until completion of malo. Upon completion, our wine was racked and the acid was adjusted. Our wines are bottled within 12 months to ensure the style retains vibrant primary fruit freshness. Tasting Notes This Shiraz has beautiful aromas of black pepper and dark berries, with spicy plum flavours. A medium bodied red wine that has been aged in older French oak for 9 months, this wine offers soft rounded tannins that lead to a bright, juicy and long satisfying finish.

Poma Áurea is the first brut nature cider developed by Trabanco and it has been admitted for protected denomination of origin (DOP) "Sidra de Asturias".
Poma Áurea is a totally natural cider, a brut nature in which the carbonic as well as the sugar are endogenic, that means result of their own fermentation process.
The new brut nature of Trabanco is the result of a careful selection of the raw material. For its elaboration are only used traditional Asturian varieties, Regona and Raxao, which ferment at low temperature during several months in traditional wooden chestnut barrels.
Once finished this first phase, a second fermentation is caused, controlled and at low temperature in a contra-pressure tank.
The result: An elegant and harmonic brut nature cider, that shows all its expression as ideal accompaniment for appetisers (cheese, patés...) and for menus based on rice, seafood or fish.

First natural "author´s cider" of Sidra Trabanco, thought and elaborated for its consumption in glass, without need to pour it from up high.
Its elegant and innovative presentation permits its approach to the wine sector, proposing it as an alternative to white wine consumption.
Serve into glass at about 10ºC, ideal at any moment of the day and for all kinds of locals and consumers.
Our cider in glass is a natural cider, handcrafted and selected from the best wooden chestnut barrels. Its slow and measured fermentation takes place in our historic winery, made of stone and with a high level of humidity, situated in the green valley of Lavandera.
The valley of Lavandera and its neighbour villages provide us with centenary family plantations where little Samuel, together with his brothers, harvested apples with his mother Alicia.
Those are apple trees with an important historic and familiar load, which besides grow on limestone and very steep grounds, causing an apple harvest which means almost heroic agriculture.
These types of grounds, near to dense and wild forests with a peculiar incidence of the sun, typical for our Asturian climate, offers us a delicious and aromatic red apple, up to this moment not very well-known for the elaboration of this special cider.
All the wisdom and experience of our cider master Samuel Trabanco is being reflected in this cider, the result of a whole life dedicated to the elaboration of cider. Alicia is a look at the past, at the memories of autumn and at a mother in the family apple plantations, seen with the eyes of a child.
According to his words "this cider is the result of the tenderness and the passion to achieve what until this moment is doubtless my best cider, my stamp of identity".
Perfect to combine with fish, seafood, sushi, rice and noodles
TASTING NOTES
APPLE VARIETIES: Cider of just one variety, elaborated.with the apple "Martina" of our own family apple plantation. A variety practically forgotten and recovered after years of field studies.
AROMA: Very aromatic cider with fruity touch, citrics and a taste in which dominates the typical acidity of the cider. There is a freshness feeling in the mouth, caused by a light carbonic note.
COLOUR: Cider with pale shining yellow colour.
FERMENTATION: Slow fermentation in chestnut barrels with more than 50 years of antiquity. Clean and shining cider, clarified by pouring it cold.
ALCOHOLIC GRADUATION: 6,5º

It's about a white vermouth which is elaborated with natural cider and it´s a product which is not filtered in order to maintain the essence of the natural cider.
This vermouth was born of the memories of those times when Emilio Trabanco added (secretly) a stream of cider to the vermouth in order to make it more tasty. Inspired in this memory, for its elaboration we combine white wines, cider and a great variety of botanics (wormwood, dictamo, absinth, gentian, boldo, cinnamon, anise, star anise, coriander and vanilla) and fruits (cherry, orange peel and lemon).
The final product stays stored for 30 days to favorize the conjunction of aromas and tastes.
TASTING NOTES
COLOUR:Strawy yellow because of the unfiltered cider.
AROMA:In the nose appear aromas of wormwood, orange and apple.
TASTE:In the mouth we notice an unusual freshness in the vermouth, due to the light acidity of the cider. We notice memories of cinnamon and a bitter final which is typical for the good vermouth.

The Story: “Our fun little on-premise exclusive label, Pimpala Road is the location of our home, the historic Mount Hurtle winery.” - Geoff Merrill
Vintage Information: Very little rain during winter and spring affected the deep down soil moisture, important for fruit development later in the season. Generally the crops were reduced over the whole of South Australia with a great variation in reductions experienced due to the diversity of the regions and grower experience.
Once into the ripening phase, the weather was generally optimum for ripening with only brief extremes being experiences. These however were more damaging where canopy growth was reduced due to lower soil moisture. The main positive is the flavour concentration and depth of colour, which in most varieties is absolutely outstanding making 2019 a vintage to remember.
Winemakers Notes: The colour is a light straw with fresh green hues. The aroma is light and fresh, showing nectarine, lime, apple, rockmelon and fresh cut straw notes.
The palate is zesty, vibrant and flavoursome, filled with stone fruits, gooseberry and finishing on a clean citrus note.
Food Pairing: Enjoy with ceasar salad, oily fish, roast turkey, and mushroom risotto.

The Story: “Our fun little on-premise exclusive label, Pimpala Road is the location of our home, the historic Mount Hurtle winery.” - Geoff Merrill
Vintage Information: After a delayed start due to the rain, vintage finally got underway albeit a long and drawn out one. South Australia experienced above average winter rainfalls, which helped to set up early growth of the vines. Spring was cool, and again rainfall was above average. The cooler air and soil temperatures slowed down vine development causing bud burst and grapevine flowering to be later than previous years.
A dry February and March allowed the fruit to reach ripeness with conditionsbeing ideal. Harvest dates were at least a month later than we have experienced for several years. Our crop yields were high for whites and reds, with bothlooking outstanding with excellent flavour.
Winemakers Notes: The colour is a youthful dark red with good depth. The aroma displays vibrant red berry fruits, spice, soy and some savoury meats.
The palate is initially full of bright fresh fruits which slowly warm and make way for darker flavours and chocolate tannins. Good acidity on the finish completes this seriously great value wine by providing structure and versatility with food.
Food Pairing: “Enjoy with BBQ lamb loin chops, roast beef and gravy, Thai basil beef andthick Italian sausages.”

Vintage Information: The 2021 vintage is described by local winemakers as ‘Classic Clare’ with cool and dry conditions producing solid yields and fruit with great varietal character and natural acidity. Good rainfall during winter and spring lead to early canopy growth before drier weather returned in November ensuring conditions were ideal for flowering.
Bunch and berry sizes were higher than crop estimates in most varieties, with overall yields the best since 2018. The slower ripening and the longer growing season with mild weather conditions combined to produce wonderful wines with varietal character and outstanding middle pallet development. The 2021 vintage is being hailed across South Australia as ‘one for the ages’ with the Clare Valley proving no exception.
Winemakers Notes: The colour is a youthful light straw with green hues. A wonderful varietal aroma displaying orange blossom, lime zest, a hint of musk lolly and green pear which opens up to tropical fruits and a talc minerality. Immediately showing its varietal and regional pedigree with balanced acidity, citrus and green apple flavours.
With time in the glass, complex pear and pineapple flavours are revealed hinting at a long and interesting future for this wine. The acidity on the palate finishes almost unexpectedly gentle, adding to its youthful drinkability.

Vintage Information: The 2021 growing season was almost perfect in the Riverland, with some describing it as a ‘once in a lifetime’ vintage. Rainfall during winter and early spring returned to above average levels, producing favourable conditions with mild weather showing the potential for above average yields. A comparatively mild and dry summer was brushed with only two minor rain events. This coupled with very few hot days leading to a very positive harvest.
The cooler than usual conditions contributed to an efficient vintage, with yields across the region reported as average to high, with some experiencing their best crop in many years. These conditions leading up to and through vintage have resulted in excellent quality wine quality, with wines showing good varietal character and the red varieties showing high colour density.
Winemakers Notes: The colour is an attractive and delicate rose petal pink. The aroma initially displays light, fresh cherry and raspberry with delicate floral notes which open up to subtle licorice and spice characters.
The palate begins light and clean, with exciting fruit flavours and textures coming to life as the wine warms in the mouth. Raspberry and violet notes come forward, moving to cherry and savoury spice. Clean, balanced acidity finishes this lovely drink for many occasions.

Vintage Information: The 2017 Winter began quite dry, with just enough rain arriving in late winter and early spring to add some much-needed moisture to the soil depths.
Aside from hot conditions during Spring, the growing season progressed quite well without lengthy extremes causing too much damage. The summer heat tapered off to ideal, mild conditions required for extended ripening of late varieties.
Winemakers Notes: A youthful red with good depth and purple hues. Dark cherry, black pepper and blackberry come through initially on the aroma. This then relaxes into a more rounded dark fruit and spice character with time in the glass.
The palate opens with complex spice, earth and red berry flavours and fine grippy texture. Then a wonderful mid palate unfolds as the wine warms in your mouth filling the 'wings' with luscious fruit. The acidity is balanced without adding astringency to this generous McLaren Vale Grenache.

Winemakers Notes: A dark red with good depth and youthful hues. Bright licorice, mulberry and black cherry come forward, with tomato leaf, herbs and violets finish off this highly aromatic red blend.
The cool vintage condition in 2017 has produced a fine tannin structure, length and cleansing acidity in this wine. Red berry flavours are well in place amongst the grippy texture on the mid palate. The Story: “Named after the beautiful old Bush Vine Grenache vineyard owned by mates of mine in McLaren Vale. The Grenache component in this wine is hand picked to best preserve this glorious old vineyard. We have been taking fruit from this block for many years and it’s one of our favourites.” - Geoff Merrill
Vintage Information: The 2014 vintage started out with a wet winter in 2013 with higher than average rainfall which then essentially ceased for the months following. An unexpected burst of heat through spring lead to flowering early. Low rainfall and extremely high temperatures then continued throughout summer.
Immediately following the high temperatures was some cool weather and a large rain event which slowed down ripening, causing quite a gap in vintage. Top wines will be exciting, well balanced acidity and full flavoured with good tannins.
Winemakers Notes: The colour is a bright red with great clarity and depth. The aroma shows complex notes of black olive, chocolate, leather, coffee and clove with ripe berry fruits.
The palate is rich with ripe berry fruits and spice, also showing plum, earth, game and some floral hints. The texture is fine and smooth finishing with well balanced acidity.

The Story: “Sourced from our company owned vineyards, “G” is for Graymoor in the Coonawarra and “W” for Wickham Park in McLaren Vale. The individual growing conditions of each site affords us the unique opportunity of being able to blend wines of what each region has to offer.” - Geoff Merrill
Vintage Information: The 2014 vintage in starting promisingly with above average winter rains providing the vineyards with an excellent head start to the growing season. A warm and dry spring followed leading to early flowering and ultimately reducing yields to below previous years before a series of extreme heat events during Summer pushing the vines to their limits.
In early February 2014 the rains returned providing great relief while also delaying harvest until March and early April allowing flavour to balance with sugar ripeness. In the end while yields were lower than usual, the wine quality was excellent with great colour and bright, pure fruit flavours.
Winemakers Notes: The colour is a dark red with brick and ruby hues. There's no mistaking the variety, with tomato leaf, capsicum, blueberry and chocolate coming through strongly. Some secondary earth, leather and soy are adding hints of complexity yet to come.
The palate displays the best of both premium Cabernet regions with McLaren Vale dark fruits and chocolate, and finer blue fruits, capsicum and herbs of Coonawarra. There's a real strength and depth about this wine, with inky, persistent tannins and confident acidity on the finish.
Food Pairing: Try it with a rack of lamb, venison pie, moussaka, roasted mushrooms and beef burgers.

The Story: “Michael “Jacko” James worked in our cellars until he succumbed to a long battle with leukemia at the age of 26. His legendary character and courage left a lasting impression on everyone. Our tribute to him is this full bodied Shiraz which displays rich peppery fruit over a firm underlying structure with great length.” - Geoff Merrill
Vintage Information: One of the earliest vintages on record this year, with mild weather playing an important role for the region; rainfall was lower than average and with dry conditions from early August meant supplementary irrigation was vital.
With only a few sporadic hot days, the weather allowed natural acids with low pH levels to develop. Yields had fallen just below average, however this varied depending on variety. Overall 2015 was a successful vintage.
Winemakers Notes: The colour is a strong ruby red with brick red hues. Subtle savoury meats come forward first on the aroma, then opening up to warm, ripe red berry fruits and spice. Fresh toasted oak notes complete this complex nose.
Initially the palate is fine and soft, then it builds into a well structured and full flavoured wine with time in the mouth. An abundance of silky tannins adds depth and longevity to the well defined red fruit flavours. This vintage will be a 'quiet achiever', surprising us all with how well it continues to develop into the future.
Food Pairing: Enjoy with rich smoked brisket, sticky pork ribs, lamb shanks, pizza and a beef and bacon pie.

The Story: “Approximately 4 months after vintage, Geoff and Scott undergo a blind tasting to select the finest barrels from our Coonawarra and McLaren Vale vineyards that make the grade for our Reserve Chardonnay. These barrels are blended together in tank then returned to new French oak hogsheads for additional maturation prior to bottling.” - Geoff Merrill
Vintage Information: McLaren Vale experienced an above average winter and spring rainfall, which helped to set up early growth of the vines. Spring was cool, and again rainfall was above average.
A dry February and March allowed fruit to reach ripeness, conditions being ideal. Harvest dates were at least a month later than last season. The last of our fruit picked for this vintage was at the end of April, much later than we have experienced for several years. Our crop yields were good as was the quality for whites and reds, both looking outstanding with excellent flavour.
Winemakers Notes: The colour is a bright and youthful mid straw with green hues. On the aroma, complex characters are developing nicely. Ripe lemon, fig and honey notes come forward then step back and reveal fresh citrus and tropical fruits.
The palate is zesty and alive with fresh citrus and stone fruits. The oak adds subtle flavours and textures, complimenting the fruit well. This is a very youthful and well structured wine which will greatly benefit from time in the bottle.
Food Pairing: Drink it with steamed scallops, King George Whiting, crayfish spiders and lobster bisque.

The Story: “Approx. 14 months after vintage, Scott and I undergo a blind tasting to select the barrels from our Coonawarra and McLaren Vale vineyards that make the grade for our Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. These barrels are blended together in tank then returned to a variety of new and seasoned American and French oak hogsheads for additional maturation prior to bottling.” - Geoff Merrill
Vintage Information: The lead up to the 2013 vintage in McLaren Vale and the Coonawarra was looking good with Winter rains leaving subsoil moisture levels quite high. The onset of Summer was quite mild giving way to high temperatures and virtually no rain in January and February resulting in relatively low yields for the regions.
The 2013 vintage may have been light in crop, but they were very good in quality with the reds having excellent colour and flavour. The rapid and early harvesting tested many winemakers experience in juggling which vineyards to pick immediately and which grapes to keep on the vine. The results rank very highly compared against previous vintages that have earned McLaren Vale & Coonawarra their reputations.
Winemakers Notes: The colour is dark and dense, with intense deep red hues. The aroma is wonderfully varietal, displaying tomato leaf, violet perfume, spice and blue fruits, with a touch of soy and menthol.
The palate is well structured by firm grippy tannin filled out with generous fruit flavour and supple texture. Even with some time under its belt, the palate is still youthful with great acidity, tension and bright fruit flavours.
Food Pairing: Pair with rich glazed sauces and jus on slow cooked red meat or mushrooms. Beef stroganoff, beef bourguignon, beef short ribs or aged steak with a red wine sauce.

The Story: “Approx. 14 months after vintage, Scott and I undertake a blind tasting to select the barrels from our McLaren Vale vineyards that make the grade for our Reserve Shiraz. These barrels are blended together in tank then returned to a variety of new and seasoned American and French oak hogsheads for additional maturation prior to bottling.” - Geoff Merrill
Vintage Information: The lead up to the 2013 vintage in McLaren Vale was looking good with Winter rains leaving subsoil moisture levels quite high. The onset of Summer was quite mild giving way to high temperatures and virtually no rain in January and February resulting in relatively low yields for the region.
The 2013 vintage may have been light in crop, but they were very good in quality with the reds having excellent colour and flavour. The rapid and early harvesting tested many winemakers experience in juggling which vineyards to pick immediately and which grapes to keep on the vine. The results rank very highly compared against past vintages that have earned McLaren Vale its reputation.
Winemakers Notes: The colour is a dense, dark brick red with garnet hues. The aroma is a postcard from McLaren Vale Shiraz. Attractive and ambrosial, this wine is simply begging to be tasted. It is filled with complex secondary notes of earth, savoury meats and game, clove, herbs and ripe primary redcurrant and blackberry.
The palate is very well structured with defined, grippy, firm yet fine tannins. It is tensioned together by perfectly balanced acidity forming a youthful, well proportioned wine destined for a long evolution.
Food Pairing: Enjoy with mushroom risotto, lamb shanks, veal parmigiana, and shepherds pie.

The Story: “Parham is named in honour of my Grandfather Bill Parham, who passed away at the ripe old age of 102. This wine is the best of the best of our McLaren Vale & Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon and only 10 barrels of the vintage are set aside for Parham.” - Geoff Merrill
Vintage Information: Preceding Winter and Spring rains were significantly lower than had been previously reducing crop potential in the important growth stages leading up to vintage. On average yields were down approximately 30% across many varieties in McLaren Vale.
Fluctuating temperatures in January and rainfalls in February resulted in a ‘pause’ in vintage allowing ripening to occur at a more manageable rate. By the end of vintage, even with the lower crop yields, our fruit had more time to ripen properly resulting in very good flavour concentration, acidity and structure.
Winemakers Notes: The colour is dark with inky depth and youthful hues. The aroma displays a lifted fresh herbaceous note that follows on to deep mint, olive, dark chocolate and meaty savoury characters.
The palate is larger than life; intense, deep and concentrated. Although the tannins are strong and grippy, the acidity distinct and the flavours youthful and potent, the wine is balanced and seamless. This wine was made in this style and released young to show the brash intensity of youth.
Food Pairing: If you have a week to live, drink it now. Any time you can give this wine will be repaid in ever increasing "aahhh" and "OMG" moments.

The Story: “Henley is named in honour of my Grandfather, who passed away at the ripe old age of 102. This wine is the best of the best of our McLaren Vale Shiraz and only 10 barrels of the vintage are set aside for Henley.” - Geoff Merrill
Vintage Information: The 2006 Vintage overall was quite good. It was set up well early on with good winter and spring rains. This provided good grapevine canopies ideal for quality ripening.
The weather dried up at the right time, and warmed up considerably bringing many varieties to ripeness almost simultaneously resulting in a very hectic few weeks.
Winemakers Notes: There's a real freshness to the aroma upon opening, which becomes more and more sophisticated with every minute in the glass. Black pepper, herbs, clove and stewed plums come forward, then they make way for the complex characters that only come with age. Dark soy, leather, chocolate and roast beef gravy.
The palate is tight, fresh and sprightly. It shows spice, developed berry fruits, chocolate and savoury meats with hits of earth and coffee. There's fresh, clean acidity on the finish giving the wine a youthful brightness that will live on for quite a few more years in the cellar.
After approx. 15 months in oak Geoff and Scott take part in the sensory evaluation of each barrel to determine which ones make the Henley grade. Once the barrels are determined, the blend is carefully made in the cellar and refilled into the very best French oak barrels we have for further maturation.

The Story: Lord Ian Botham and Bob Willis are two of the biggest names in the modern era of world cricket. Geoff Merrill’s reputation on the international stage of winemaking is equally impressive.
A mutual passion for their respective professions, cricket and wine, drew them together during the English tour of Australia in 1978. Since then, a lasting friendship has developed over many bottles opened and balls bowled.
Vintage Information: The 2017 winter began quite dry, with just enough rain arriving in late winter and early spring to add some much-needed moisture to the soil depths. Aside from hot conditions during spring, the growing season progressed quite well.
Most varieties will have stand out examples, with 2018 seen overall as a terrific vintage with its most important varieties coming out on top.
Winemakers Notes: The colour is a bright youthful straw with green hues. The aroma displays subtle creamy French oak notes which perfectly complement the honeydew melon and grapefruit characters.
The palate begins with a fruity burst of tropical flavours which move through to zesty citrus on the finish. The careful use of oak has added depth, structure and complexity.
Food Pairing: Try it with Mushroom Risotto, Veal Scallopini, Steamed Scallops with Thai lime flavours, Chicken with Lemongrass and Roast Turkey.
