Our organic rope mussels are grown in Class A waters, a Special Area of Conservation, in the deep, clear Atlantic waters of Kenmare Bay on the south west coast of Ireland. The waters are monitored for biotoxins weekly by the Marine Institute of Ireland. Our oysters, also produced in the Special Area of Conservation, come from a 100% disease free status site. Our company directors, John & Flor Harrington, are proud to have built a seafood business with a distinguished reputation for quality produce and reliable customer service. In establishing our seafood company over 25 years ago, we always subscribed to our mission statement of delivering premium shellfish that are naturally fresh and naturally on time. 50 years Schnitzer, 50 years of nutritional expertise

From the Black Forest to the world
The family owned business from Offenburg in South of Germany, next to the Black Forest has been an active and successful company in the health food sector for 50 years. The company´s founder Dr. med. Johann Georg Schnitzer, at that time dentist, developed a programme for wholesome food based on cereals and raw food that provide the human organism with vital nutrients from natural sources. From this period the Schnitzer´s Household Grain Mills were occured and still exist today in many households to grind fresh wholemeal flour.
Whole-food nutrition made easy
At the beginning of the 1980s independent artisan bakeries were trained by Schnitzer in wholefood baking skills and whole-food nutrition were made available for the humanity. In the 1990s, a range of packaged wholesome baked goods was created by the newly established Schnitzer Food division.
Competence and innovation combined with pleasure
Since 2001 Schnitzer produces gluten-free organic baked goods under the highest standards with regard to the purity of the raw materials and the hygiene in the manufacturing process. In 2006 the company introduced the first gluten-free beer based on millet to the market. After a comprehensive investment in modern production facilities combined with the first IFS Food certification in 2016, Schnitzer is now one of the largest manufacturers of organic gluten-free baked goods. In 2019 Schnitzer will present its products in a new packaging, which is influenced by the modern blogger-style.

NABA Feinkost GmbH is a leading manufacturer of processed organic foods in the convenience and delicatessen sector, based in Gierstädt, Thuringia. As a medium-sized company with its roots in agriculture and gastronomy, it is our aim to produce products that focus on the well-being of people and nature. This is why we became enthusiastic about organic products at an early stage. NABA was founded at the beginning of the 90s and a little later we produced the first organic spreads.
Today we employ more than 150 employees and produce many well-known (trade) brands for the organic specialist trade and food retail trade with modern production facilities on an area of 5000 m². For a long time, we were almost exclusively a producer of private label products, but we now have two own brands: Nabio and Reichenhof. Last but not least, we work together with small manufacturer brands and food start-ups to support entrepreneurship and anticipate innovations.

The History of Pregel began in 1967 at Scandiano, when Luciano Rabboni, the founder, with his wife Ms Elena Frigeri started a small business for the artisanal production of fruit based products, intended for local gelato and pastry shops. In 1983, the four Cabay brothers took over Herve Société, a cheese dairy in Pays de Herve, a region that has always been close to the family’s hearts. Originally specialising in the manufacture of Herve, the company has since expanded to incorporate several other activities in the dairy sector. 1998: the company acquired the Regional Dairy of Herve, which produced Abbaye du Val-Dieu cheeses. 2003: the Cabays bought out Vanderheyden in Pepinster, a dairy that produced regional cheeses. 2010 : Hervé Société employs 50 staff and processes 10 million litres of milk each year to produce 1.000 tonnes of soft cheese and 200 tonnes of semi-hard cheese. Pays de Herve – a region of exceptional green pastures and birthplace of the world’s most flavourful cheeses – has inspired our passion for local produce and our entrepreneurial spirit.
