Our locally grown frozen vegetables keep their shape, have a consistent ‘bite’ or mouth feel, and the vivid flavour of a food recently harvested. IQF (Individual Quick Freezing) takes place just hours after harvest. Conversely, fresh produce often undergoes deterioration in the supply chain because of time (days or weeks) needed to transport. Frozen produce has been found to be often more nutritious, and fresher than fresh. Our frozen products have a long shelf life without the use of any preservatives and are conveniently easy to use for numerous applications.
We also preserve our produce in cans, buckets and bags. A retained, strong, fresh mushroom flavour is guaranteed for 7 weeks for buckets, and between 1 to 4 years for Ecobags and cans. All our preserved mushrooms come in various shapes and sizes and can be used in products such as ready meals and much more.
Furthermore, we have developed a sustainable and unique procedure whereby top quality Dutch mushrooms are boiled in their own juice after having been packed in a pouch that is easy to open, convenient to store and cheaper to transport. No chemical additives or salt are being used. Ecopouch® mushrooms combine the best of both worlds: shelf-stable mushrooms in pouch packaging with long shelf life and fresh taste and texture.
