JSC "Klaipėdos mėsinė" is one of the largest and most modern meat processing enterprises in Lithuania. At first, the name of this newly established company was "Vilkė" in 1992, and later, in 2007, it was changed to "Klaipėdos mėsinė". This step was taken in order to emphasize the cherishing of traditions by the meat producers of the Klaipėda region, which date back to 1927.
Our production base is one of the most modern in Lithuania.
Area of factory's facilities - 6000 m². Well equipped meat cutting plant with 20 ton per shift processing capacity. Cold storage can accommodate 500 tons of carcasses and raw meat. Sausage production department and the dispatch facilities occupy over 2300 m², one shift can produce 30 tons of sausages and other products.
In 1998 we became the first Lithuanian company to implement ISO 9001 quality management system in the area of production and trade of meat and meat products.
In 2001 we were one of the first meat processing enterprises in the Baltic States to receive a European Union manufacturer's number. It represents our conformity with the European Union's requirements and standards, allowing us to export meat products to all EU countries.
In 2011 our company was certified with an International Food Safety IFS certificate, confirming that products manufactured at our factory are in compliance with the strict international food safety requirements. Since then we are certified each year.
In 2015 we will be certified with compliance to Halal manufacturing.

The history of mushrooms and wild berries brought to the Italian table is the story of Monica and Massimo, the two founders of Asiago Food.
It is a story that is both modern and ancient, local and global, personal and about community, stretching back more than thirty years in the cultural and environmental setting of the Seven Cities of the Asiago plateau.
This is a region that since ancient times has made a shared cultural identity and a celebration of local specialties its strength. It is a regency of seven cities that are independent, yet integrated as a social system, in an ancient intuition of what the world would come to be hundreds of years later.
This is how Asiago Food was born, from the intuition of Massimo and his wife Monica, who wanted to make the produce from their region – mushrooms and wild berries – more available. Initially in the Seven Cities area, and later across Italy, the pair worked tirelessly to create not only a linear chain, but a system in which every player has a stake and contributes to the process of creating the final product.
ASIAGO FOOD TODAYToday Asiago Food has grown. The offices have moved a few kilometers onto the plain, but it still remains the same, tied to this land and what it produces, to the people, and to its system so firmly that it has successfully integrated itself into another world as well, not extremely close geographically speaking, but culturally quite similar: the forest-pastoral communities of Bulgaria.

Over the course of 16 years, Boromir has developed in a dynamic rhythm so that today it controls 10% of the milling market in Romania, with a milling capacity of 1500t per day. This is possible due to the acquisition of new milling and baking plants situated in parts of the country that have great development potential : Sibiu, Buzau, Deva, Slobozia also through the upgrade and retooling of all the owned production facilities. The company owns a network of specialized shops “Boromir Pan Café” (shops with surfaces between 50 and 150 square meters), a project launched in 2008, based on the re-branding of the traditional Boromir bakeries already existent in Rm Valcea since the year 1996. In Buzau and Rm Sarat operates an independent network of 20 retail shops out of which 16 are situated in Buzau and 4 in Rm Sarat. In addition to these, Boromir owns 3 gas station in Rm Valcea and the Hardwood Sawmill. Out of the total Boromir business, the milling division represents 55% followed by the Sweets and Cakes division that holds 20%, the baking division with 15% and the rest of the activities represented by shops, distribution and gas stations that cover 10% of the business. All of these generated a turnover of 110 mil Euro for the year 2010. In order to accommodate the needs of today’s market and better meet our customers’ demands we have developed and diversified our activity so that by combining innovation with tradition, we can offer products that satisfy the highest standards of quality, health and safety.

Nutriops, the first European manufacturer to market an almond milk in powder and also a liquid version in Tetra Brik. The set up of the company in 1991 was motivated by the idea of improving the almond milk recipe, a traditional drink in Spain. We set up business in 2008. However, we are part of a group of companies that have been engaged in manufacturing gluten-free products since 1702 (!), although they were not aware of that 300 years ago. DAFCO has specialised in gluten-free solutions for food concepts in particular, and health food products in general. As a company we supply both ingredients and ready-made gluten-free products to our customers. However, our strength and focus are on the packaging or re-packaging of gluten-free (bulk) products in gluten-free consumer packaging. In our capacity as co-packer we do this for third parties, under a private label and using totally gluten-free packaging lines. We permanently monitor and control our processes to avoid cross-contamination while achieving the highest level certification in the food industry including, among others, BRC+ (higher level).
