The name probably doesn't give you any hints, but Italo Suisse is actually... Belgian. So where does the name come from? Well, it all began in 1923 with the founder, who travelled all around Europe in order to refine his knowledge and skills in the production and presentation of chocolate. He then travelled to France and other places, but it was primarily in Italy and Switserland where he learned the trade of professional chocolate manufacturing. When the business activity began, the company was christened "Swiss-Italian Specialties." With this name, the grandfather of the current owners sought to preserve the rich traditions and customs of these countries in the creation of his chocolate products.

In 1921, Giovanni Varvello, in the warehouses under his home in Via Nizza 135, in Turin, founded the "Stabilimento Italiano l'Aceto" [Italian Vinegar Establishment]. Giovanni Varvello was the first in Turin to have the idea to produce one product – vinegar, a condiment that is poor in excellence – on an industrial scale, which up to then had been produced at home by every family. PK ZLATIBOR owns a farm with herd of 485 Simmental cows. Milk processing is done in our own dairy with a daily capacity of 30000 l. Our Zlatibor range of healthy products include yogurt, diet yogurt, sour milk, sour cream, peppers in sour cream, Zlatibor cheese in slices, skimmed cheese and yellow cheese.
