The fruit is delivered and pressed, and the juice is bottled, at our press-house in Bressuire, in the heart of an area of France famous for growing eating apples. This allows us to source 80% of our fruit from less than 100km away, and this direct relationship with farmers ensures we all work together to promote our local produce and savoir-faire.
We respect the balance of flavours in the different varieties to faithfully and authentically reproduce the flavour of the fruit itself.

The mineral water Hanácká kyselka is pumped from six wells, the deepest of which reaches the depth of 265 m below ground level. The current water has the same composition as it had when it was discovered. It comes from the depth of Palaeozoic Devonian Dolomite limestones, which are superimposed by impervious schists and neogen clays with a thickness of 30 – 50 meters and by several meters of Quaternary alluvia. Alain brugalières, son and grandson of farmers – and also a true epicurean – realised that in order to survive, the agricultural world needed to do things differently.

At the time, people were just beginning to talk about “ORGANIC” farming. The principal aim was to protect both human health and that of the environment. This promise went straight to the heart of this young, activist businessman, and he started off by selling juice from locally harvested apples and prunes that had been pressed in Monflanquin, in the heart of Lot et Garonne.
It was a simple, sensible idea: to process fully ripe fruit and vegetables from the region and thus offer the ORGANIC food network natural juices and drinks that had been minimally processed, to ensure they remained as natural as possible and retained maximum flavour.
“I started out in a little workshop that was just 6000 square foot, using a manual press. In those days I was only producing 2,000 bottles a day… At a time when the only rule in business was maximum productivity, making ORGANIC produce wasn’t the obvious choice. You had to have a certain amount of belief to go for quality and health instead.

In 1921, Giovanni Varvello, in the warehouses under his home in Via Nizza 135, in Turin, founded the "Stabilimento Italiano l'Aceto" [Italian Vinegar Establishment]. Giovanni Varvello was the first in Turin to have the idea to produce one product – vinegar, a condiment that is poor in excellence – on an industrial scale, which up to then had been produced at home by every family. The cellar Varvello Vinegars, like the great Italian wines from which they come, age in wood, in ash casks from Slavonia and American larch (with a capacity of more than 20,000 hectolitres on almost 80,000 total): four months for white wine vinegars, more than a year for reds. This is the secret of the goodness that makes a particular bouquet special and unique to Varvello vinegars, a record dedicated to taste and quality!
