central Italian region of Umbria and is lead by the Gradassi Family together with Tiziano Scacaroni. The later, thanks also to his extraordinary palate, runs the day to day running of the Company. One common denominator binds these entrepreneurs: a sheer passion for extra virgin olive oil.
C.U.FR.OL., founded in 1998, created a central bottling and storage area - not only for its own Gradassi Olive Mill, but also for all the local olive mills, many of which own minority shares in the Company - where at every harvest time the best production flows.

URZANTE is located in Tudela, Navarra (Spain), in the area from which it takes its name, Urzante. An extremely fertile land recognized as one of the best vegetable growing areas in Spain. It is located between the valley of the Ebro River and the Moncayo National Natural Park. Thanks to its privileged location, our olive groves are irrigated every year by the thaw of the Moncayo mountain, one of the purest waters in the world.

The original company was founded in Florence in 1880, it has always operated in the spice and grocery sector, importing directly from the countries of origin. In 1987 the Carapelli and Barbagli families (already owners of Carapelli olive oil) took control of the business and the company name and changed it to it's actual name "Drogheria & Alimentari". In January of 2003 they took over a company specialized in the industry sector located in Veneto. In January of 2004 they took over a company called Maribù from Lombardy which produces cake decorations. Currently everything is united in the new and extremely modern establishment in San Piero a Sieve (Florence) which is 34000 mq of which 12000 is covered.
Since 2012, Nuova Terra, an historical Italian company specialized in dried cereals and legumes, has joined Drogheria & Alimentari's group.
We are present in more than 50 countries all around the world, with our own brand but also in the Private Label field.
In France, for more than a year, we have been developing our French branch to support and improve the distribution of our products in this country.

"As far back as 1780 my Family was involved in growing and preparing food in Umbria. We began our work in the historic town of Spoleto before my great grandfather moved us to Giano dell’Umbria in 1920. Each generation of my family has passed down to the next their expertise in selecting and blending oils. We are proud of every single bottle which leaves our factory, and we do not produce any oil which we would not be happy to use in our own kitchen. Our hard work and dedication to quality has seen our family business growing considerably. We are now the biggest producer of olive oil in Umbria and the fourth biggest in all Italy."
A dream is like a house: for it to be strong and robust it has to have solid foundations. For us, it all started in 1780, when a small mill, at the first turning of its millstone, began to produce oil and flour. This is where the dream took shape. Exploiting all the staples of Umbrian agriculture, such as cereals, olives and wine, we gradually created products that are famous for their quality and unfailing respect for the environment. When our grandfather moved to Giano dell’Umbria, he opened a new chapter and laid the foundations for the long-term development of our food & farming business.
All this passion has been handed down the generations and is now embodied in Pompeo and Roberto, at the head of table, inspired by the work of their respective fathers Lanfranco and Domenico. Around them, the younger members, Pompeo’s sons Giampaolo, Marco and daughter Cecilia.

We are specialized in the production of high fibre and low glycemic index foods: the main product is the the pasta FiberPasta suitable for diabetici and overweight people: it is a durum wheat pasta approved by the Italian Ministry of Health as being "suitable for people suffering from diabetes" (Ministerial Decree n.600.12/8114 of year 2001) . It contains 15% fibre, that means more than double the amount of fibre contained in whole-wheat pasta and low glicemic index (GI 23) while still being able to offer the same great taste of traditional pasta. In 1920, an idea began to take shape in the mind of our grandfather: uncover the secrets of the split olive. The Jean Martin company was born. Since that time, we have been living between the fields and the kitchen, next to the stove and the table, in Maussane-les-Alpilles, in the Baux-de-Provence Valley, in the south of France.
In the years 80', the grandsons of Jean Martin took over the company and decided to expand the range to make from JEAN MARTIN the refernence in Provencal gourmet specialties. The idea was simple: make the best products following genuine recipes with only natural products. From that dat, we do not use any coloring, flavoring, additive, preservative, starch or water!
We cook our vegetables from 4 to 6 hours in 200Kg batches. With 10Kg of fresh vegetables, we produce only 3.5Kg of ratatouille or provencal eggplants for example.
In 2010, to support the great success of the company, the owners decided to build a new and state of the art factory: we are now certified BRC and IFS at the highest grade.
Today, JEAN MARTIN combine traditional and savoury recipes to iltra modern means of productions.
We are already the 3rd brand of ratatouille in France, the 1st one for Tapenade and spreadeable products for appertitive and the 1st one for authentic and delcious Taboulek, ready in 1 minute.

Our new brand SO PURE delicious fruit&nuts bars are produced from high quality nuts (almonds, cashews, hazelnuts, peanuts…), dried fruits and seeds. A perfect blend of raw materials and high content of fibre gives you energy for the whole day. Among this assortment you can find gluten free and high calcium bars to name a few.
Recently we have added raw organic chocolates to the So Pure brand. The cocoa in this chocolate is roasted at low temperatures and therefore important nutritients are preserved. We have several varieties available: raw chocolate with cocoa nibs, with mulberries and with goji berries.

Our factory works all year with high quality fresh fruit. When the fruit have reached the right point of ripeness, they are carefully selected, washed, peeled and pitted.
Natura Nuova improves and adopts, as the first in the world , the cold- processing, of fruits that preserves the taste and the organoleptic characteristics of the fruit.
The result of our production is a fruit smoothie , which a short heat treat process consents to preserve the product for 12 month at room-temperature, we propose the fruit puree in alluminium cup and doypack .
Our packaging protects the product from light and oxygen without added antioxidant and acidifiant.
Natura Nuova is the leader in catering market (school, hospital, nursing homes ), and the increase in this market permits our clients to find our product in the retail market .
Natura Nuova is the only factory that produces the fruit puree in organic.
