Biofournil is different from other bakeries due to the production of its breads using traditional leaven without the addition of industrial yeast.
The unique taste of Biofournil’s breads which defies imitation originates in 1980 thanks to the spontaneous fermentation of water and flour, thus creating our « mother ». The « mother » forms the basis of a natural fermenting agent which is self-perpetuating and which enables the production of the leavens.
Traditionally leavened bread is best characterised by its slightly acidic taste that you do not find in bread containing yeast. This acidity permits the phytases (enzymes) to get to work, to break down the phytic acid and thus allow the minerals to be absorbed better in a way that otherwise would just pass through the body.
Traditional leaven also makes it possible to obtain a relatively dense crumb and increases considerably the shelf-life of the bread.

As a specialist company which is independent from cheese manufactures, we cut and pack a wide range of hard and semi-hard cheeses into the greatest variety of pack shapes and sizes, just the way you want it. Our top priority is to supply a high-quality product. The products are distributed either under our own or unter our customers' brand names.
Product variety - processed and packaged using the most up-to-date methods
Every year more than 45,000 tonnes of cheese are manufactured in the form of cheese slices, portions, grated cheese, cheese cubes and sticks – in pack weights ranging from 30 grammes to 10,000 grammes. The most up-to-date packing and processing machinery not only ensures the quality of the production sequences, but also the selection of the type of packaging. Whether it be the classic stand-up pouches, easy-to-open or resealable deep-drawn packaging – Frischpack keeps an eye on the market, recognizes trends early on and implements them with innovation.
The highest, audited standards of quality and hygiene
The client's success is also Frischpack's success. The basis for both is created with reliable service and an observance of deadlines, highest quality and hygiene standards, as well as the use of carefully selected, fresh, high-quality raw produce. Alain brugalières, son and grandson of farmers – and also a true epicurean – realised that in order to survive, the agricultural world needed to do things differently.

At the time, people were just beginning to talk about “ORGANIC” farming. The principal aim was to protect both human health and that of the environment. This promise went straight to the heart of this young, activist businessman, and he started off by selling juice from locally harvested apples and prunes that had been pressed in Monflanquin, in the heart of Lot et Garonne.
It was a simple, sensible idea: to process fully ripe fruit and vegetables from the region and thus offer the ORGANIC food network natural juices and drinks that had been minimally processed, to ensure they remained as natural as possible and retained maximum flavour.
“I started out in a little workshop that was just 6000 square foot, using a manual press. In those days I was only producing 2,000 bottles a day… At a time when the only rule in business was maximum productivity, making ORGANIC produce wasn’t the obvious choice. You had to have a certain amount of belief to go for quality and health instead.
